not worth all the stars this guy was given

after reading all the wonderful reviews this place got, I thought I would give it a try. I called and left a message to return the call not once but twice, and no return call. I was very disappointed that a business like this would not return a simple phone call to a consumer. Sounds like some of the other dealers in town. I even went to the location on map quest and could not find the location. Does he operate out of his home? There is not business in this area! This is reallly upsetting to see all these wonderful reviews and he won't even answer or return a phone call.

I decided to go with this company a year ago for a few front windows due to the rave reviews on Citysearch. I was very satisfied with the work done and I made sure to call them back when I got a new vehicle. If you want an honest person that does good work, give them a shot, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing!!!!!!!

Are there any girls out there that (like me) don?t care to know all the idiosyncrasies and confusing details of car accessories? I just wanted my windows darkened, that was it. The problem with not knowing much about the subject is that we can get a crappy product if the sales person is good. We know it is true. Sooooooo, in order to prevent those things, I try to shop online and read what people have to say about their experience. ?A Cut Above? had great reviews, so I gave them a call. Let me just say the reviews here are great but do not do this business any justice. To start with, it is owner operated. EVERYONE knows this is a huge thing. No one cares more about quality than the owner. I am usually gravitated towards small business because they value their customers a lot more and they are more controlling when it comes to quality and customer satisfaction.

Tyler (the owner) was not only cordial, he took the time to show me all the different options and pros and cons of each one of them (instead of pushing me in the direction of the most expensive one). I didn?t know a thing about window tinting and my goal was just to darken the windows, and it was surprising to see how much Tyler cared about my needs AND budget.

Now here comes the best part: Tyler was patient and polite (and funny too!!!!), and did an OUTSTANDING JOB. When I got in my car for the first time after that, I could tell the difference right away. The windows looked so good!!! I am so excited about his services I tell everyone I know. He is fantastic, the quality excels expectations (okay, I am not a car person, but he impressed my husband ? and HE knows a lot about cars) and the service is second to none. I couldn't ask for a better result!!! Oh, and the follow up!!!! He called to make sure I was happy with the service!!! Can you believe this???

ABOVE AND BEYOND!

I am not usually exicted about doing business...I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED at the great job I got from Tyler! He was conversational, personable, and funny on the initial phone call. He needed to change our appointment time, so he called EARLY to ASK me if it was okay...he showed up when he said he would, gave me AWESOME advice and options (who does that anymore?) and did an INCREDIBLE install on my car. I just bought a brand new dodge challenger and I was super concerned with every little detail. He showed me what he was doing, explained everything thoroughly, and took extra time to make sure it was perfect, and that I was perfectly happy!!!! SUPER JOB TYLER.

I would strongly recommend them to anyone and everyone. The price is fair (maybe a "little" higher but the quality is SOOOOOOOO worth it!)

Outstanding Professional Service

I called Tyler based on a referral I received and what a referral he turned out to be! I can honestly say that Tyler is one of the most professional service people I have ever dealt with. After he put the Carbon 35/05 window tint on my husbands 2005 Hyundai Elantra, he realized that there was still glue remaining on the rear window from an old sticker. We may have never noticed it but Tyler did so he pulled up the tint and completely re-tinted the entire back window. This not only showed me how professional he really is but how much pride he takes in the work he does. The cost was very reasonable although his service was worth so much more. I will definitely recommend Tyler to everyone I know.

Dealer-quality vehicle tinting at reasonable cost. A+ all the way!

I hired Tyler to do auto tinting for my 2009 vehicle. He was knowledgeable, professional, prompt & paid great attention to detail. The tint job was excellent and "dealer-quality." I chose to use the SunTek Carbon 35/20 combo and the vehicle now looks great and is a lot cooler to operate. I would recommend Tyler to anybody and plan to use his services again on another vehicle.

• Pros: Reasonable cost. Excellent product & workmanship. Great customer service.
• Cons: Would be nice to have more types of tint films (brands, models, technologies, etc.)

Best tint service and great customer service!!

After moving to AZ from the northeast, my husband and I desperately needed window tints on both of our cars.

After doing some research on citysearch, I came across A Cut Above and read all the great reviews. I contacted the owner, who was able to orientate me, give me a great price for both cars and schedule an appointment immediately.

The day of our appointment he called early to cancel the appointment we had, due to his son being sick and quickly rescheduled us for the next day (Saturday at the same time).

We met Tyler the very next day and got the tints done on both of our cars. We noticed a difference immediately, the cars were cooler, the ac was running better and we had a great person provide us great service!

About 2 weeks after we got our tints done, Tyler performed a courtesy call, to make sure that everything was fine and that we were satisfied... Who does that??? That right there made the experience even better!

Also the tints have a warranty and Tyler makes sure to send them in the mail!

Couldn't ask for a better job!!!

Wow! When my husband brought his Mercedez home to show off the tinting job, he was beaming. It looks great! He said the job went without a hitch, the work was professional, and the experience was fun! Their mobile service showed up in the garage of his office on time. After shopping around (by the way, they were the first to respond to my email inquiry on pricing), we know they gave us a great deal, too. No surprises here, except how smoothly it went. I highly recommend them.

Very Professional

Highly recommended. Tyler provides great service and is an expert in what he does. I am still amazed on how much better my car looks right now. One of the best in the valley.
