Art gallery setting. Low key clipboard art. Good service. Comfortable couches. Architect's tables for lighting. Free wireless. Great coffee and tea. Crowded, lively downtown crowd. Nice vibes, everything.

Pleasantly surprised

After hearing great things about the atmosphere, staff and of course the coffee - I had to check it out for myself. This reminds me of what a real coffeehouse should be like. I went on the weekend and it was busy, but it's great to see people making it through the construction. I'm hooked.

I absolutely love lux, from the couches, the homemade baked goods, to the friendly staff and great drinks. It's a great place to meet up with friends, do some work, or just hang out.

One of the best coffee places in Phoenix

The coffee here is especially good for Phoenix. It is on par with the coffee you would get in Seattle or San Fran. They also have pretty good pastries and what not... No other place in Phoenix comes close.

• Cons: Burnt coffee smell

The new owners have cozied up the place as much as possible, so now there are little colorful flowers at your hip concrete table. Its the best we've got here in Phoenix for culture, coffee and design.

Downtown artists, business people and solo sippers tapping at laptops linger in a hip, white-on-white interior flooded with natural light. The Best Coffeebar ever!

Since the new ownership Lux Coffeebar is more enjoyable, everything seems better. Every time I walk in I receive a warm welcome from the friendly staff. Everyone is always upbeat, the coffee is superb and the ambience is bright. I look forward to going in every morning . It is truly a great way to start the day! Bravo!

Best Coffee Bar Under New Management

Since mid-October, Lux Coffee Bar is owned by Jeff and Tara Fischer. The menu items and prices have remained the same with excellent bakery goods baked on the premises. The service is friendly and cordial.

Best CoffeeBar in Phoenix

I frequent LUX a few times a week, and have never had a bad experience. Whether I get a coffee, espresso, chai or pastry I'm always satisfied with it. I myself have never had bad service nor been wittness to it. The baristas there are always giving a friendly hello and/or even engaging in conversation with the customers. The ever-changing art on the walls and eclectic music broadcasted at the spot make for a great environment to chill in.

GREAT Coffee - HORRIBLE Service

Have to admit, they have GREAT coffee. However, bad service from the owners can make the best coffee taste like tar. When the owner argues over wheather he made your NF Latte with Whole milk, then tells you to "go to Starbucks" you have to think to yourself, are they purposely trying to lose customers. Maybe they are, because that exactly what they did.
