Great Disappointment!!

by phoenjg1 at Citysearch

This was once an interesting restaurant, but now it is awful. The menu has changed for the worst. The margarita was small and bitter. The taco was more like a lunch-wrap, filled with slaw and beans. The prices were outrages for the quality and quantity of the food. $52 for tacos is a bit much. They lost us as customers.

  • Pros: good location
  • Cons: , poor food quality, inconsistent service

Place is going down hill.....

by bob4 at Citysearch

This is about our 7th and last time going here. We were in this tequila club they had, but now there selection is depleted. We could tell why; customers are not coming here like they used to. The food is very different then it used to be. they used to have great vegetarian dishes too. the place is beautiful, but if it is beauty I mostly want I will go to the musem. turn the food back up! We are out.

  • Pros: beautiful place
  • Cons: , food going down hill, inconsistent service

It is a breath of fresh air to have big city Mexico City type restaurant in Phoenix. Not your typical fare, we were blown away to find unexpect treats like a mole with real depth (on tasty chicken enchiladas). Our party of five thought the margaritas where the best in town, tasting of tequila instead of limeade. The duck is incredible, they smoke it there and it was a great chile sauce. The dessert are killer and service to match. Did I mention the coffee is in a Frech Press. First class!!!

  • Pros: Awesome Food, Perfect Service, Cool Bar Upstairs

A special disappointment

by portlandave at Citysearch

The decor was spectacular, but so was our disappointment. A special occasion meal was marred by a table too small for our plates, drinks, and utinsels; food delivered almost instantly from the kitchen (obviously no individual prep) and cold at that; a mole sauce that was better as dressing for the salad it slopped into; and rushed service. We know good Mexican food -- Tex-Mex, New Mexican, Arizona/California, and interior -- and this stuff didn't belong in the same sentence.

  • Pros: pretty nice looking
  • Cons: crowded, poor food, rushed service

Not your typical Mexican place

by ccpr20 at Citysearch

Great food! I had the enchiladas, and they were great. Plus they offer mole dishes. Entree prices range from $10-20. Margaritas were great they offer a unique list of tequilas. You can go casual or get dressed up. Didnt make it to the upper floor where the bar is, but it looks interesting. Good service. If youre in the mood for Mexican in the N. Scottsdale area, I would definitely recommend this place.

  • Pros: different dishes, great food, service
