Beautiful grounds and great service. It feels like you're on vacation even if you haven't left town!

Located in Scottsdale with great food and shopping nearby, this hotel is a winner. We love staying here and two main things come to mind. . .great walking paths around the grounds and great service. The spa is pretty good, certainly better than most, and golf is excellent (Troon North is nearby also and I highly recommend also). Also worth noting, is they take pets (a plus for us), and do everything possible to make the stay enjoyable.
- Pros: Service, spa, golf, nearby shopping and food
- Cons: Depending on the entertainment, it might be a ways out for some
Wow!

My husband and I were in Phoenix for his graduation, and chose to stay at the Westin Kierland. When you have never been to an area and are trying to pick a hotel from a list online, you tend to be a little wary. But we had stayed at a Westin hotel before and loved it, so decided to give it a try, and WOW! We were definitely impressed! We only stayed for a few days, but everything was wonderful. We spent more time at the hotel than we did anywhere! With an adult pool that was open 24 hours, and a family pool that was open during the day with lots of activities, there was always something to do. The exercise room was incredible! We ate most of our meals in the hotel restaurants, such as deseo, Nellie Cashman's and Waltz & Weiser. We had drinks at The Rim, which we enjoyed by the firepit overlooking the golf course. There were S'mores to be made, if you wanted. And the nightly bagpipes were just amazing. And I haven't even touched base on the Heavenly Bed and Bath, or the room in general! Everything was perfect. For our first visit, we couldn't have blindly picked a better hotel. And if I ever get a chance to visit the Phoenix area again, I will not hesitate to stay at the Westin Kierland again. Five stars isn't even close to being enough!

With programs designed for both business travelers and families, this property takes service seriously. Business travelers can take advantage of guest office rooms stocked with phone, fax and printer. For families, a kids' club provides coloring books, bath toys and a phone line dedicated to bedtime stories. All visitors are treated to signature Heavenly Beds with pillow-top mattresses, cushy down blankets and crisp white sheets ranging in thread count from 180 to 250.
Meeting the test

Got here as a 3 day getaway for a meeting and wished I didn't have to go back. Good shopping nearby in an upscale plaza. The hotel is terrific and the golf courses are amazing. Good food and they brought in Krispy Kremes during the breaks. What more could you ask for?
- Pros: Service, Food
Wonderful for business travelers!

I have stayed here for business and pleasure and what is nice is it is suitable for families, business travelers and couples. It is close to shopping and dining and the pools are great. I highly recommend staying here. The rooms are clean, comfortable and attractive and if you stay on the club level you receive complimentary continental breakfast and evening snacks. The spa seems a little expensive, though.
- Pros: Close to shopping, Good restaurants
