I've gotten my hair cut by Rachelle four times now and I leave every time with the haircut that I want. I even trusted her to do my hair for my university graduation, driving all the way to Mesa in rush hour so that she could cut and style me. It is sometimes hard to hear in there because of the hair dryers, and they don't have a very large waiting area (two leather cubes right next to the desk) so I usually wait out in the mall, right in front of the store. However, Rachelle is careful to understand what you ask for (bringing a picture always helps, no matter where you go!) and is very skilled. She has been a part of many T&G hair shows, and loves styling hair. She can do anything you ask for and uses all the great products to give volume and shine. She isn't pushy on you to buy the products, and for that I always give her a huge tip. My only criticism is that Rachelle no longer washes hair (I think her rates have gone up). That said, the shampoo "boy" (a man, rather) was not gentle and actually pulled my hair. In addition, when I told him I had dirty hair that day, he used color-extracting shampoo (he started lathering me up, THEN asked me if I colored my hair or not!!). Thankfully I don't color my hair, but that shampoo was like paint thinner; it sucked all the moisture out of my hair and it wasn't the same for a couple weeks. I know you're probably not able to pick the person who shampoos you, but brace for impact if it is a tattooed gentleman.

Pros: Rachelle's expertise, openness and great attitude

Cons: shampoo boy, location is at Fiesta Mall (move to Tempe!)

I have to say that these ladies must have gone to the wrong stylist, I use Monica and I love her, she has always given me great cuts, and very symetrical i might add because my cuts are always straight bangs sharp bottom right at the shoulders, I also like what they use to color my hair, it has never burnt it or anything, although last time I was in the girl that did it almost left it on too long and it began getting hot I told her and she took it off promplty. I have been placed on hold as well but never for more than a few minutes, the only pressure I have ever gotten from them is to buy product then and there, which i dont do very often, my stylist knows i dont like to put product in my hair. So, if you want a good straight cut use Monica, I have had three other stylists there and i dont trust a single one other than her, tell her brittney sent you.

Pros: In a easy to access mall, does have some talented stylists, and colorists

Cons: the support staff isnt always the best, but they do offer coffee and water

I was new to Arizona and looking for a new stylist to cut and style my hair. I wanted to find a place where I would be treated as a valued customer weither I was getting a trim or every available service. I should have been clued in when I called and was put on hold and had to listened to them talk to others. I basically arrived the first thing in the morning and was treated as if I was inconviencing anyone I came in contact with. The place was not very clean for just opening up. The lady who cut my hair was nice but when I arrived at home and found that my hair was cut Very unevenly I was not happy as this simple cut was VERY expensive. I called and again was treated very poorly . Even though I was not happy I only asked that they please even the cut out; I was calm and respectful throughout my conversation. When I returned there were no appologies, in fact I was made to feel like an idiot and told it was not uneven when you could clearly tell that it was. I left with yey another uneven cut .I was so upset and did not want anymore hair to be cut so I left with tears in my eyes as I was almost bullied into making my 6week RETURN appointment right then and there. I am glad that I saw this opportunity to share this experience as I would hope that it would be a wake up call in reqards to their level of customer service. No I do not believe a customer is always right. However, I do believe that a customer should be treated with curtosey and made to feel welcome, not as if they are an inconvience. I always believe there is room for improvement. However, it is unfortunate that when I was asked were I went to get my hair done, I was not able to tell them of a wonderful experience. A smile should not be deemed part of the companies overhead expences, therefore doled out sparingly. A clean chair and service area will always be remembered!!!! If you were going for the ED Devebeck(s.p) style of hair services...I offer my appologie. Diana Craine Phoenix,AZ

Pros: There's always room for improvement!!!!This was the Toni & Guy's at the Mall

Cons: RUDE>

I have been there several times and have never been very pleased with my hair cut or the staff. Last time, December 15th, I decided to give them one more chance. When my name was called I was told to sit there! I felt uncomfortable, because the floor was covered with freshly clipped hair from the previous patron and my stylist made no attempt to clean it up. The $45 fee is way too much to pay for the stylist and lack of customer service. I don't mind paying the price if I am treated well, but I will not be back because of these reasons. I much prefer Rolfs on Ray...they pamper you there and will even offer you a glass of wine. Sincerely, Diane Lowe

Pros: location in Mall

Cons: , lack of customer serv, Too costly for servic
