Yum!

by cjbkr08

This place is Great! Every time I have company in town, we make sure to stop here. They have wonderful omlettes, especially their veggie one! I haven't had a bad meal there ever!

Just FYI for people looking to go there - they're only open for Breakfast and Lunch and there's usally a wait. But it's worth it!

  • Pros: Delicious Food
  • Cons: Parking,

Pizza...they dont serve Pizza!

by kj66

Good thing I went to The Farmhouse before reading that horrible review, you know the one that mentions the bad Pizza at the Farmhouse. Well heads up, they don't serve pizza, ever!!!!!! But i would like to know where that person actually dined..so as not to go!!!!! Well we really enjoyed everything. There really isn't better out there thus the crowd waiting to get a table.

  • Pros: Food & Service Excellent
  • Cons: Everyone else thinks it great too!

Just like mom used to make...

We tried this restaurant shortly after we moved here, and I don't remember it being that great at first. We decided to try them again, and I'm glad we did! Their breakfasts are incredible. The potatoes are great, the bacon is incredible, and the waffles and pancakes are sweet and light! My husband and I usually get one savory dish and one sweet dish and then split them. We've also had lunch there as well, and it is just as good! The Wednesday special of fried chicken is THE BEST!!! They have recently begun serving dinner, but only on Friday nights. It's a small dinner menu for now, but everything is good! The steak sandwich was absolutely fantastic, and their meatloaf is a classic (usually I'm hesitant to order meatloaf anywhere, but here it did not disappoint!) Their portions are large too- not obnoxiously big, but just big enough. The service here is usually great, but every once in a while it's so busy in there they don't have time to chit chat or be super polite, but they're never rude.

  • Pros: Awesome food
  • Cons: Usually a wait

OVER PRICED-AWEFUL!

by jaderustin

HAMBURGERS WERE PRE-FABRICATED AND DRY. THE PIZZA TASTED AWFUL! THE TUNA SALAD WAS SOGGY! PLUS WE HAD TO WATCH DOGS DEFECATE IN THE LAWN WHILE WE ATE. IF I WANTED TO EAT WITH DOGS I WOULD GO TO A DOG PARK! OVER PRICED FOOD THAT TASTED LIKE IT CAME FROM AN AMUSEMENT PARK. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! THEY TRY TO DO THEIR PART ON RECYCLING, BUT THEY DONT TELL YOU WHERE TO PUT THE UNEATEN FOOD.

  • Pros: RECYCLING
  • Cons: WHERE DO YOU PUT THE UNEATEN FOOD?

Great chow

by Retarmy

My wife and I drove past this place on a Saturday and saw a crowd of people waiting outside and decided to stop and give it a try. Had to wait for approximately 20-25 minutes due to the fact it has a very small dining area. The meat loaf was very good and highly recommended. Parking is the only drawback. When we visit the Phoenix area again, we will stop here again.

  • Pros: Food
  • Cons: Parking, size of dining area

Great Food, Great People, Great Service

by kgodinez

The Farm House is a wonderful breakfast place here in Gilbert. My husband and I have lived here for six years and this is our favorite place to grab breakfast. Yes, it can be crowded and busy, but the food is always good and we have had, in six years of coming to this restaurant, nothing less than friendly and stellar service. The menu is extensive for breakfast and they always have very tasty and unique specials usually featuring one speacial that is veggies with eggs, which is great for people who do eat protein but not pork or red meat. Weekends are busy, Fridays are busy and there is a list outside that you put your name on and wait to be called, but you know what? It is worth it. I am a breakfast person and the Farm House is my treat to myself and my husband. Go and enjoy,

Seriously overrated-not worth the wait-average at best.

by pink_drai

I visited this restaurant alone one early morning during the week. I thought the food was average at best and the service was lacking to say the least. I actually had a patron offer to get me coffee because the waitress was out back smoking! But my husband wanted to try it one more time so he, myself and his brother went with us. We seated ourselves, per instructions on the board, in a booth that hadn't been cleaned off yet. It only had a couple of water glasses and silverware on it, no big deal. The waitress came over, picked up a full glass of water, and dropped it all over the table and our laps. Then had the nerve to blame us for sitting there and causing the accident!!!! I couldn't believe it. We were so angry, we left, and made sure she knew why. Ridiculous attitude for a mediocre restaurant. IHOP has better food.

  • Pros: none
  • Cons: food is average, service horrible, long wait on weekends

Come for the farm offerings, stay for the country charm.

In Short
The Farm House (which really was a farm house) is old fashioned and homey whipping up all the usual eye-openers--bacon and eggs, omelettes and pancakes--as well as biscuits and gravy and gooey cinamon rolls for a hearty filling before plowing the back forty.

A quaint place to take self, friends and family!

by starlightjulian

Do visit restaurant soon! Visited three times w/ friends 'n family; each experience great due to good food 'n great ambience. Cinnamon rolls really are worth trip alone! Items 2 try: Asian Chicken Salad; eggwhite omelet with cheese, mushrooms 'n avocado; Mediterranean/Greek omelet. Awesome cole slaw! Skip biscuits 'n sausage gravy, unless you like biscuits small 'n gravy bland--gravy's texture was very good, but it took a shake of s/p before each bite to make dish palatable.

Caveat is choppy service. First two visits, service was good, with second being quite exceptional (gracious server and TWO complimentary cinnamon rolls due to small size!). The last was unfortunate--we'd asked for a menu item, which server verified there was ONE left, but did she reserve it 4 our party? Alas, she did not. Other downer was she kept coming by to see if we needed anything, which left us feeling rushed.

  • Pros: Good food, Great ambience, Parking
  • Cons: Choppy service, Missing menu items, Small, but cozy

Great food, Great staff

by willbo17

Sometimes you will have to wait but it's worth it. Every meal is a generous portion and I've never eaten anything there that wasn't great. You can't go wrong with any of the specials or breakfasts. The staff is prompt and friendly.

  • Pros: Great food, Good service, Reasonable price
  • Cons: Potential wait, parking; crowded days
