Very solid Az music venue.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Big Fish Pub. The sound people have never given us any problems and do great work. However, I have seen some amature bands come through there and complain about the place because they don't bring anybody and for some reason expect to get paid...? Bands with this attitude need to stay making music in grandma's living room.

BIG FISH SCRUBBED!!!

My band, Madame Sheeba was booked to play July 25th, 2009. We were told that we'd be playing last in this hodge-podge of bands that were playing last night at the Big Fish Pub. We were told we get an hour for our set, so we had an 11 song set list planned, which included some new ones we haven't done yet.. Well, we got onstage at 8:45 pm and got 3 songs under our belt until they pulled the plug because it was "hip hop night" after 9pm. Are u freakin' kidding me!? They had 6 people come in for that B.S. and we had 40 people there to see us play!! You are gonna throw away all the revenue from drinks for a few people to be there for hip hop!? Needless to say, we were aggrivated, and more so for the people that had come to see us and got 3 songs for their $8 or $10. So, this company, AFTON productions is a complete scam! They've got a bad rap all over the internet for their "pay to play" scheme. We had to sell our own tickets and promote our show for those a$$ clowns to get paid! So, we weren't able to get the money back for our fans, but were gonna do something to rectify this situation. What I'm asking is for people to e-mail the hell out of AFTON productions at aftonlive. It's actually so shady that you can't contact them directly, but they contact you. I know we can't blame the club completely, but the fact that they booked 2 shows in one night is pretty stupid, and I don't wanna be an a$$hole, but DJ Adrenaline is a douche anyway. He is in an Alice in Chains tribute band and he can't sing Layne Staley worth a damn! The guy was amazing, and you put him to shame you no-talent butthole So now I'm just going off, but I'm completely amazed by Big Fish Pub's lack of booking savvy and their production company's complete retardedness. I want to make this right for all the people that have come to see us time after time. You guys are the reason we book these shows!!! We'll do what we can, and we apologize to the utmost for the total disaster that took place Saturday night..

A Tempe Must!

One of my favorite pubs in Tempe. They have great live music there, the bands are always the best. Great way to spend a Saturday night.

The best of everything

Also...just to let everyone know that on September 24th, Seneca is coming live to Big Fish Pub in Tempe, AZ! Its their first time coming to the US to play some shows! So that will exciting, I am sure! You have to see them! Or listen to their music! On their new CD, my fave song is "Clarity"...if you havent heard it...go to their myspace page and give it a go. You will love it and become a life long fan of this wonderful band!

The Big Fish has never looked so good!!!

I remember going to the Big Fish 10 years ago and listening to Metal bands that would eventually get signed. There is a lot of history with this venue. New owners took over the bar a couple of months ago and they seem to understand the importance of providing a fun, safe place for rockers to play thier music. They have completely remodeled the place and it looks and feels great. The sound and the lighting are simply amazing. The new stage allows performers to be seen from anywhere in the club and the staff bends over backwards to ensure you have a good time. If you haven't been to the Big Fish in a while, I suggest you check it out. Rock is definately back at the Big Fish and the new management are a lot of fun.

• Pros: Amazing sound system, great drink prices, fun loving staff.
• Cons: Could use more parking

Rock and Reasonable Drinks -

I was impressed with the overall value and the feel of the place! Rock is back as well as drink specials that didn't break the bank at all! The place seems safe and I'd have to say is a cut above other Rock venues. I've been several times now and it keeps getting better. They are getting definately getting it together. I recommend it!

• Cons: It can get crowded inside and parking may not be close

New Owners Doing a Great Job!

New looks, new music, new owners, new customers, a great place. It is getting better each week as changes take place. There is a small stage and dance floor, booths, tables, and plenty of standing room.

Gearing up for happy hour wih a new kitchen. Congratulations new owners. I've been going to the Big Fish for years and this is the best change yet.

Cozy, Romantic, Just Plain Fun

The new owners are doing a great job. It is newly renovated and a great place to meet friends and enjoy the new venue, more rock music. A small dance floor if you want to dance. Friendly, a great place find new friends. Drink specials every night and friendly people. What a difference from just a few months ago. This is going to be the new "in" place in Tempe.

• Pros: Two thumbs up!
• Cons: None that I can see.

TOTALLY REMODELED. CAN'T BELIEVE IT THE TRANSFORMATION

IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN TO THE BIG FISH BEFORE YOU HAVE TO GO SEE IT. They went all out. Cannot believe it... That was a dive. Even though I was a regular, I hated the bathrooms. They have Gold ceilings in the beautiful clean bathroom now. Brick wall on the stage. Live Rhythm & Blues. Dance or just watch the beautiful women dance. Wait till you see the amazing bar and liquor selections. Happy Hour is, well just go. This will be a hang out to be bragged about in the future. "I was able to get into the Big Fish" kind of thing.
