Fantastic Experience. I signed up for this account to do this specific review. It's that good. I went initially for something different. I still go regularly because the food is amazing. Quite a bit unorthodox but a hell of a lot of fun. Always a great conversation starter and first date restaurant. If you haven't been here, there's a hole in your life that you don't know exists and it's good Ethiopian food.

Believe me, you won't be disappointed with this place.

Is the only Ethipian restaurant in town?. I don't know if it's the only Ethipian restaurant in town, but I can say it's a very good option for people who look for a nice and different place to eat. Very good for vegetarians. My husband always order the mango juice. I like my order served with Injera and a sample of Ayeb.

Lalibela has a very relax and friendly enviroment, we recommend it openly!

Best Place to Eat!. I have been in a lot of Ethiopian restaurants but this is the best place in the world. The food is amazing, the servce is excellent. If you are going with a party of three try Lalibela Exclusive (it has a sample of everything). I really recommende Cafe Lalibela.

IF YOU HAVEN'T TRIED ETHIOPIAN, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!. A FRIEND OF MINE TOOK ME TO CAFE LALIBELA THIS PAST WEEKEND. THE FOOD THERE IS AMAZING. I LOVE TRYING DIFFERENT THINGS AND THIS PLACE IS TOPS! EVERYTHING WE HAD WAS EXTREMELY GOOD. WE HAD THE LALIBELA EXCLUSIVE, WHICH HAS A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING. THERE WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOOD FOR ALL 4 OF US. IT IS RECOMMENDED FOR PARTIES OF 3. IF YOU LIKE TO TRY NEW THINGS, OR JUST WANT TO IMPRESS YOUR FRIENDS WITH SOMETHING INTERESTING THAT THEY HAVEN'T TRIED... DEFINITELY GO TO CAFE LALIBELA.

This cozy Ethiopian cafe offers a full contact dining experience that's definitely off the beaten path.. In Short
Venture into the unknown armed with a wetnap and an appetite, because half of the fun of Ethiopian cuisine is eating with your hands. Space is intimate, so don't stand on ceremony--reach right in with your injera (spongy bread with a slightly sourdough flavor) and scoop up some wat (any of a variety of well-seasoned main entrees). Exotic spices like turmeric bring out the subtle flavors of meat and vegetarian dishes alike.

A vegetarian's paradise. This Ethiopian cafe is wonderful. The staff is more than friendly and they have always been sure to say hello and make us feel welcome. Fill out an info card and they will send you coupons for your birthday and other annual events. The Shorba (veggie lentil soup) is rich with flavor and great for a starter. As a vegetarian, I suggest the Veggie Combo platter if you are with a friend or Misir Wat and Tikil Gomen if you are alone. The cooking is fresh and every bite is heavenly. I am hooked! I dine here with friends at least once a week and you should too!

Love it!. I eat here everytime I get a chance. The guy that owns the place is always the only server, and he's super nice. The food is incredible! I can't pick a favorite..although the lamb is very tasty, as are the collard greens. I recommend the chefs plate for a group. It has a little of everything, and 4 or 5 people can easliy eat it all. Try an Ethiopian beer, Harar.

Go with a group. On the weekends, they do a large group platter with a number of different dishes you can sample (they do a smaller one other times). You get a very large platter, covered in injera (flatbread) and the foods are placed in little mounds about the platter. You also get a basket of injeratear off a piece and scoop up some food. Utensils are available upon request. The foods are simplelentils, collards, chicken, beefbut the tastes are exceptional. Try the tiramisu (Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1935, remember?). Its exceptional. One word of caution: take a few beanos beforehand.

Service is Gracious. This is one of my favorite restaurants around town. The food is excellent and the service is unconditionally gracious. Give it a try!
