Tempe's Jewel (If you go to one restaurant, go here). Tempe's best bar. Even being a Vikings bar on sundays, it still gets 5 stars. Sets the standard for Hefeweizen in Arizona. This our favorite place to eat, bar none. Most often we share a pitcher of "Hefe" and order a Chicken beer bread or the Arizona Chicken Rolls. If ordering the former, ask for a side of the sweet jalepeno sauce for dipping your fries. The delicious sauce comes standard with the chicken rolls. Other outstanding dishes include the mediterranean pizza which has a delicious blend of chicken, spinach, ricotta cheese and pine nuts. (the sweet jalepeno goes great with this too.) The only dish I've not enjoyed was the tenderloin sandwich, but probably because I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese We've tried the Hefeweizen @ at least 1/2 dozen other locations and nothing compares. . Not your ordinary "Bar Food". I love four peaks because their food is surprisingly good. service is usually pretty good too. In the winter you should arrive during off peak times because you don't want to get stuck sitting outside. I know, they have the heaters, but if you're a girl, hey you get colder than your guy friends so make them seat you inside!
