Excellent Chinese. The food was really great, although the variety was what you would find in other Chinese restaurants. The service was average. However the noise was so bad it made it almost impossible to carry on a conversation.

Pros: The excellent food

Cons: The noise

Some of the best for AZ. I found the reviews pretty helpful, its is similar PF Changs in the sense that its got that tasty but different scottsdale bistro type taste although it's not like SF Chinese food(but lets face it, this doesn't exist in az). I absolutely LOVED LOVED THE HOT & SOUR SOUP- almost surpassed my fav place for this soup in nor cal, I didn't know there was shrimp in it, I don't eat fish, but it was so good I just took out the shrimp and kept on eating. When they took it to box it up, they forgot to bring it back, so they went and MADE more for me. I have never heard of a place that makes fresh hot and sour- maybe thats why it was SOO GOOD. We also had chicken egg roles, orange chicken, moo shoo chicken, and lemon chicken, all of which were good. Service was good, decor was good, everything was good.

Lunch specials!. They have the best lunch specials, you get an entree, salad, wontons, and hot tea for under $10! I go there especially for the salad, it's the best dressing I'v ever tasted, I just wish they bottled it for sale!

VERY TASTY AND AUTHENTIC FOOD. Got there at 4 pm - virtually empty - sharp and quick waitress, orders and drinks right away - we had the mongolian chicken ( spicy and yummy) and the tofu and brocolli - came with a big bowl of white rice ! Simply delicious!! be back next week.

Great FUSION food!. For the people who complain that this food is too "Americanized"...get a grip. This very clean restaurant is decorated like a modern night club with polished concrete floors and deco lamps. This is "Fusion Food" at its best. If you want authentic, go to the Great Wall Buffet (ok, a joke). But if you like fusion, try this out. My favorite is the Spicy Cinammon Shrimp (how authentic is that???!!!). I have it at least every other visit and it's always great. The Honey Beef is also consistently great. And the Spicy Sweet and Sour Soup is also good. The other thing about this place is that Flo is always in the restaurant when I visit and will stop by to see how the food and service is. I know she can't have been there every time, but it seems like I see her every time. I like that when a restaurant owner spends a lot of time there.

The comments about Flo's being loud are spot on, unfortunately. But that's what good business does to a place and you can always get it for take-out.

For those who compare it to PF Chang...I can't verify this, but I was told that "Flo" was the "F" in PF Chang prior to her and Paul's (PF as in Paul and Flo) divorce.

Enjoy!

no this is too americanized not real chinese food. no this is too americanized not real chinese food. The salads they server before the meal are terrible.

Despite the restaurant's mob scene at the door, you won't be drumming your fingers waiting to eat.. In Short
Sticklers for traditional Chinese cuisine might shy away, but those who seek modern and imaginitive presentations will raise their chopsticks to Flo's. It's typically crowded with friends, families and couples, but an army of young servers keep the tables turning. Try the wonton chips and salsa, twice-cooked pork or honey beef.

Good for casual chinese. Flo's is a fun place to go have lunch with coworkers, and it is always busy at lunctime. I never have had to wait for a seat, and the staff is very quick, so when you want to be in and out in an hour or less for lunch, Flo's is a great choice. However, if you want to enjoy a longer lunch, in a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere - this may not be the place for you. The food comes out a little different every time I order the same thing and sometimes presentation is sloppy, but it tastes consistently good.

if it was closer i would eat it everyday. i love this restaurant. when i worked nearby, i would go multiple times in a week. now that i live/work so far away, there is a missing piece in my lunch fare. :) as you can see, i highly recommend it.

Flo's is good to go. I would highly suggest carry out. Flo's is loud, bustling place with decent food and beverages. If you want to carry on a conversation or keep the eye contact of your date, get your food to go and light the candles. Food is good, clatter is like a high school cafeteria.
