Great deal, good food in a friendly atmosphere!
by chamuko52
Magnifico!!!! Very casual atmosphere. First class service with a touch of familiarity. You feel like in a small rural italian Ristorante. Veal Piccatta is my favorite, also scampi and a large selection of pasta. House wine is very good.
!Felicidades!
- Pros: Price, Service, Parking

Thank you Gaetano for the most romantic and wonderful evenings ! This restuarant is so cozy, quaint and reminded me so much of Sicily when we walked through the door. We were truly in heaven.
Visiting from Boston (with the great North End), we were right at home., and put La Laconda right up there with Strega in Boston. We loved the atmosphere, your staff and especially the food. You a truly a wonderful host, along with your lovely wife Robin. Your Lobster Risotto was the closest I have had since being in Taormina Sicily and the Proscuitto Risotta was right behind. The simple elegant ambiance of your restuarant made our entire vacation worth coming back for. The Ferraro's

Great discovery. Service, food and atmosphere are great. This is a good italian option for those who wish to stay away from the chain restaurants. While the atmosphere is not formal, it is fun-over-the-top gaudy.
- Pros: Food, service, location
- Cons: atmosphere
It may not look pretty, but this simple eatery offers some of the best Northern Italian food in town.

In Short
Situated at the edge of the Windmill Plaza strip mall, La Locanda seems ho-hum from the outside, but don't be fooled. This place is a favored destination for some of the best Northern Italian food in town. Start with calamari and head into carpaccio, osso buco, lamb, gnocchi, and risotto, as well as the famed tiramisu. Finish up with a snifter of Nocello, a tasty hazelnut liqueur.
Don't miss it!

La Locanada really came through when another restaurant lost our large group reservation on a holiday weekend. They cheerfully accommodated a BIG party, including half a dozen kids who unexpectedly arrved w/o a warning. The owner even provided a tray of reading glasses when I forgot mine at home - talk about service! Food was superb - they even made special non-menu pasta for 2 picky kids. A wonderful evening eating & drinking & visiting for 2 hours . This one's a jewel!!
- Pros: A+++ SERVICE, Great food, Great Atmosphere
