Privacy and pampering make this a popular haven for celebrities and weekenders looking for escape.
by Contributor
In Short
Camelback Inn is close to Phoenix's urban attractions, yet it retains the tone of a remote desert locale. Oversized, adobe-style casitas with private entrances, garden patios and balconies, provided in suites as well as guest rooms, make this a popular retreat for celebrities and couples looking for a place to escape their daily stress. If that isn't enough, visit The Spa at Camelback Inn. It is one of the largest and most extensive resort spas in the Southwest.
amazing experience!

i had such a great stay at the camelback and i would return here anytime i visit scottsdale. the service and attention to detail are second to none. the beds are the most comfortable i have ever slept in. i totally disagree about the restaurants. i ate at all of them except for chapparal and they were excellent. the best suprise was the nightly dinner buffet at navajo. we came across it totally by accident and were amazed. i am a very skeptical buffet person but this blew me away. for $29.95 there are 3 rooms of gourmet food. one chef preparing pasta for you on the spot, another carving prime rib, piles of huge cocktail shrimp and ahi tuna and snow crab claws were a few of my favorites. the spa was also wonderful but book in advance! stay here for an all around great time.
- Pros: Service, Amenities
- Cons: none!
Great Hotel
by linettea
Great hotel/resort - Service is outstanding. Amenities are very good. Price not to bad for the rooms and service, but go to Scottsdale to eat as the resturants are less than great. Over all if you are sight seeing or just trying to get away this is a very nice place to visit.
Great Hotel, Horrible Restaurants
by OpsGod
The hotel is superb. Prepare to be pampered. Play golf, then have a wonderful massage, and a relaxing swim. When you get hungry, drive to Scottsdale to eat. The restaurants at this hotel are absolutely horrible. There are two or three restaurants on the grounds and they are disappointing in all respects.
- Pros: Golf, Resort Amenities, Big Pool
- Cons: Location, Restaurants
