Love the body wrap
by IrelandFrankie
I very much dislike corporate experiences, so I was happy to use my Spa du Soliel gift certificate. They allowed me to use it for a different purpose than that on the certificate. I didn't need the massage that the certificate was for, but I did need to have the fat squeezed out of my butt via body wrap. I lost so much weight that I didn't fit into the dress that I planned on wearing that evening....fine by me!!! 10 stars if possible.
- Pros: ambience, skill level and knowledgablity by the staff
FABULOUS, FABULOUS & DID I MENTION FABULOUS
by Meredith85257
As soon as you enter Spa de Soleil you feel relaxed. The atmosphere is soothing and tranquil. The intimate setting is comfortable and friendly. Lots of wonderful touches like fresh flowers in the restroom / changing room, soothing music played throughout and lots of goodies to buy.
I've tried lots of different kinds of hair & skin products and this spa has the most fantastic products. Also, there are so many different things to choose from on their incredible spa menu that I can't wait to try them all someday.
Saving the best for last...the owners and staff are FABULOUS! I regulary see Sophia for facials and Ken for haircuts. The best facials & haircuts I've ever had!!
- Pros: Fabulous atmosphere, Fabulous products & Fabulous owners & staff!
- Cons: I wish I had more money to spend!
Good things can come in small packages
by sylviabullock
I'm a New York City gal hiding out in Scottsdale three months a year, you know, "Stop The World I Wanna Jump Off!" Needing some solace for face, fingers and figure was recommended to try Spa Du Soleil by a friend who understands for my insatiable need for nurture. Upon entrance, I was not so impressed with facility size but I've been to them all, big, small, and have learned that size, while important to some womanly needs has nothing to do with the quality, professionalism and service offered. What they lacked in size they more than made up for in attentiveness to my needs and mood and proved it with positively mood altering aroma-therapy along with an exhilarating yet soothing and restorative European peel and facial performed in the humane-precise by a Magician- I mean Esthetician named Sophia. My skin was thanking her before the words could escape my finally calmed vocal chords. Sophia said she was from NYC by way of Russia, felt like we were friends by the time the generous (1 hour 15 minutes) 1 hour escape was through. This followed by a more than adequate French Manicure and Pedicure (great Pedicure!) by the "bubbly" yet detail oriented Cori- a real sweetheart. All in all- the place ain't big nor elaborate, but the service, professionalism and heart sure were. Three hours of Bliss on a Thursday afternoon, what more can you ask for?
a bit small, but left feeling great
by tdschaak
My wife and i endulged in cuples retreat and absolutly feel in love with the service. The place was a bit small, but made up quick. The pink champain and chocolate in the warm soke befor the message absolutly took my wife's breathe away. my massae therapist was absolutly stunning, even down to the pink shoes. the facial, even my face, soft and radiating with warmth. overall very good and highly rcomended.
- Pros: small and personable.
- Cons: small rooms.
#8 on the Best of Citysearch list? I beg to differ...
by kvaughn4275
My French manicure was a rip-off. I live near New York City and for $35 I expect better. I live in Mendham, NJ which is one of the most expensive towns to live in NJ, and I spend $21 for a french manicure at the day spa in town. To start with the positive: nice staff and great products, including Phytomer. The negative: mediocre decor, NOT luxury spa at all. Small, cluttered and not particularly clean. The manicure room was tiny, small selection of nail polish (only 5 bottles of Essie). While I loved my manicurist Patty, she did not give me a hand massage, which for $35 should be a highlight. There was no nail dryer machine that is in every nail salon I have been to in northern NJ and NYC. 10 minutes on that machine and you are good to go. I immediately smudged my nails after waiting for 20 minutes, even after I made sure to pay before the nail polish was applied. This place has no business being listed in the top 10 nail salons.
- Pros: manicurist Patty, other staff friendly
- Cons: expensive, shabby decor, white tips uneven
It is okay - not a 9.3
by aktammy
Adequate spa - wouldn't return. Not too luxurious and is in tiny space. No private bath facitlities and one shower! Called and made appointments and asked if we should arrive early and was told no. Was NOT told they did not even intend to open until we arrived (11am). Wanted to arrive early and soak in tub - there is no tub. Also was not told the same person was giving massage and facial - person just started into the next service. Thought it odd. Construction is going on and there were a few workers milling about. Minimal toiletries available (no hair products, deoderant. etc..).
On the pro side-my massage was good. My friend had an incredible facial with Sophia.
- Pros: Average price; good location; Men would likely feel comfortable
- Cons: Tiny, not luxurious, varied level of services - depends on who you get
