I would normally say this would be the place to hang out in Scottsdale for a great relaxed atmosphere, until my New Year' 2007 was ruined by Martini Ranch's extremely rude attitude towards their patrons that night. I paid $25 to walk in the door, because Metalhead was playing..no biggie..I like Metalhead, and I planned on spending quite a bit at Martini on this night. I was completly prepared to ring in my new year here, and brought a few of my friends who were ready to do the same thing. My party arrived at 8:30 to avoid a line and get a seat at the bar..the only place to sit not reserved. We started drinking, having a good time, and then at 10pm had our seats yanked from us so they could "make more room for customers at the bar". So I look around, this place isn't even half full yet..not even looking like a normal Metalhead night at all. There was no apology when I said "hey, I've been here since 8:30, I came here to sit around and drink and you charged me $25 to walk in and there is no one here, and we aren't in anyone's way". There was just a shrug and an "oh well, we have to make room." 10:30 Metalhead comes on. Crowd size hasn't changed. Now my party is STANDING at an EMPTY bar while the small crowd this bar has is huddled on the dance floor like their at a Metalhead concert. Now we weren't there for just Metalhead, we were there to hang out and have a good time. Sit around, drink and talk. I have gone to Martini for the last 2 years for New Year's..and last year I sat in the exact same place I did last night, and we never were asked to give up our seats..and the crowd was actually bigger last year than this year. After half an hour of standing at an empty, uncrowded bar, my group walked out at 11:00 pm. We were made to feel uncomfortable for no reason, and I will never recommend this place again.

Pros: Metalhead's great..go watch them at the Library!

Cons: Bartenders even kept handing out drinks not asked for just to put on our tab!..with a "oh oops" response when called on it.

Went here for a show. Great band, but stage was less than ideal for viewing band. Drinks were adequate. It's the only real venue in Old Town, so I guess it's got a leg up there.

I had visited Martini Ranch once before and had a good time, so I decided to go back. They had "Thursdays" advertsied as "NO COVER" and live music. When we got there we were surprised to find out that there was a $10 cover, but we were told that there would be 2 bands, so we paid and went in. What the rude bouncers called "bands" were actually 2 white guys dressed like a bad combination between Eminem & Vanilla Ice rapping to some beats and swearing their heads off. I will never, ever go back to Martini Ranch. Any place that will hire pieces of crap like that to attempt to make music doesn't deserve my business. Stay away from Martini Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ!

Best martini in Phoenix? Just because the name of the place involves martinis does not make it the place to go for said cocktail... the joint is better suited to Long Island ice teas & long neck Buds. Very disappointed in the atmosphere, to say nothing of the vile martinis we had. If you are looking for a noxious, sweaty club, then this is the place for you. If you are looking for fine cocktails, run the other way. Fast.

Cons: , Loud & stinky, Inattentive bartender

Snobs need not enter. This Scottsdale bar is one of the most relaxed bars for this area. Martini with it's non meat market appeal is a quality most downtown bars don't have, sure go up to the shaker room and you will find your share of men and women on the prowl but not like at other bars where you walk in and immediately feel like the whole place is staring at you weather it be to check out the competition or the size of your wallet. If your looking to have a great night out, give Martini a try and not only on Fri or Sat try the other nights also you will be in for a real treat.

I have had a wonderful time each time I've been to the martini ranch.. Bartenders are a little snotty, but the cute customers make up for that. There's good drinks good dancing, I always meet a lot of men when I go...I would say the crowd is 25-35 but I was only looking at the men.

Had a blast at martini ranch, the bartenders were cute; went with 2 of my friends. We thought we wouldn't have that good of a time; we're all gay but we had a blast despite the place being very straight. Music was awesome by Rock Lobster.

Pros: Huge Place
