Awesome!

This place is great! I know the wait to sit down can be kinda unnerving, but the pizza is just that good! I think that's what makes the wait that much worse, knowing just how great it is and that you have to keep waiting before you can have it! Argh!
Okay food, amazing pizookie

The wait was really very long, but the service was nice once we sat down. The meal was just ok. The calamari was passable but not good enough to go back for. The pizzokie however, is craveable! Hot and gooey with quality ice cream. Yummy with a capital Y. Worth going back for that alone.

not a big fan of their pastas but the pipzza's are good. large portions. and the pizookie (pizza cooking with ice cream) is a must. 2 choices regular choclate chip w/ vanilla ice cream or white chocolate with macadamia nut with vanilla ice cream. every oreganos locations are PACKED at dinner so go early.
- Pros: pizza cookie
- Cons: pastas

No Chains
by MustangDean at Citysearch
First of all Oregano's is a chain, second I see at least two or three more on this list is a chain pizza also. I have nothing against chains, but the terms local and chain does not go together. Now my vote. Fuzzy's is tucked away in the corner of a shopping center on 89th ave & Bell. It may be a little out of the way but the flavor of the pies is worth it. Thin crust and lots of cheese. Decor is Chicago everything. It's truly a family operation, in other words a genuine local joint. I live in Tucson now but every time I get to Phoenix I try to stop by and have one of thier pizzas. That's something I know I can't get here, unlike Oregano's who's Tucson location is not that far from my house.
Oregano's Bitter Sauce
by michysois at Citysearch
Their sauce is reminiscent of Pizza Hut... too spicy for regular pizza, too bitter.
- Pros: Fun Place, Good Servers, Nice variety in menu
- Cons: Terrible Parking, Extremely Crowded

Pizzookie
by BObermiller_Citysearch at Citysearch
Not sure this is the best pizza in AZ, but the pizzookie and bruschetta are excellent. The Scottsdale. Tempe and downtown Phoenix locations are wildly popular -- to the extent that you sometimes have to wait an hour just to eat pizza. Order carryout on the weekends to avoid the wait. Pasta and salad portions are massive and the wait staff is incredibly casual and friendly.
- Pros: Pizzookie
- Cons: Crowded
