Great time!
by mnboys
This is a fun, fairly inexpensive bar with a great atmosphere! Haven't had any problems with the bouncers like the previous reviews explained. Great place to bring friends visiting for a good time! Highly recommended
- Pros: Good service, fun crowd
- Cons: nothing
psychotic bouncers
by sdalejames
Used to think Dos was a decent place for late-night eats and cheap beer. Because it used to be. Not anymore. Or maybe it never was.
Recently saw a video on YTube of a Dos bouncer pummeling a guest. Search YTube for "scottsdale bar fight". Pretty insane bouncers...
Never going back to Dos again.
- Pros: none that outweigh psychotic, violent bouncers
- Cons: psychotic, violent bouncers
Bouncers start fights for no reason
by Braxton4566
I am glad that finally something maybe done about the problem at Dos Gringos in Scottsdale. The problem is very violent bouncers at Dos. My friends and I have never been assaulted, but I have personally witnessed bouncers trying to start fights. I have seen a bouncer grab a customer and through him up against the wall because he was not walking fast enough when leaving at the end of the night. I have seen them threaten to cause physical harm to customers just because they did not leave the bar right away. I am very surprised that there have not been more cases such as the one on YouTube. The bouncers job is to protect there customers and make them feel safe and this is not happening. When I go to Dos I make sure I go with a big group to protect myself not from customers but from the bouncers. Since, I make sure I am bringing more friends. Most likely there are people who are bringing weapons too. I hope the owner of Dos does something. I enjoy going to many bars in Scottsdale and the bouncers at Devils, Axis, and swade do a great job. They are very nice and treat you right and if someone gets out of hand they take care of it by grabbing the person and throwing them outside. At the end of the night the bouncers will ask you nicely to leave. They don't say that there going to kick your as s and throw you outside if you don't start moving towards the exit! Which has happened to me!
I can't wait to enjoy what DOS is famous for!!!
by TheRattlesnake
I have family in Scottsdale, and I can't wait to come and visit this famous place.
Not for the food, or the drinks, or even the atmosphere...
I am coming to hopefully get bullied by the bouncers who are famous for beating people up....
There is NOTHING on this planet I hate worse than a bully, and even worse a fat slovenly bully who beats up on young drunk kids.
I read that one young man even died in the hospital as a result of his injuries from a bouncer at this place!!!
Anyway, I am not coming to cry to anybody if I get pushed around.
I am coming to throw an a$$whippin on some fat boyz...
I am EXTREMELY well versed in "taking care of myself" LOL
and what better place to come have some fun, than that of a Haven for Bullies....
So if you see a big black (seriously in shape) bald man with a big smile on his face, and not drinking alcohol (as I do not drink) either come up and say HI if you are a nice person, or invite me outside and attempt to utilize your bullying skills, and prepare to get a riddled with punches, and kicks, and possibly some limbs broken....
Risk your life here, maybe you'll make millions!

Great place to get beaten to a pulp by bouncers, but if you're looking to make money in court it might be your cup of tea. Just put this place into a google search and you'll see why it's no place for anyone who would rather avoid steroid-induced rampages by "security" personnel. I hope this place gets shut down, for the safety of its patrons.
- Pros: High quality trash.
- Cons: Low quality trash.
Out of state review
by chrisrubio81
Felt like a Friday night in Mexico without all of the crime and 18 year olds. The drinks weren't expensive and well drinks were made very strong. There was no cover charge and although it was crowded, we found it easy to navigate thru the entire place. Lots of TV's, pool tables, patio tables, and easy access to the bars. Music ranged from hip-hop, rock to 80's. Definitely a very cool place, casual, with a lot of good looking people. Crowd ranged from about 20's to low 30's, pre-dominantly caucasian. You should definitely make a stop here if you are from out of town.
- Pros: Outdoor/Indoor feel, next to parking structure, cheap/strong drinks, casual yet trendy
- Cons: Bartenders seemed inexperienced
Its called Dos Gringos Trailer Park for a reason
by lexies707
If you want to spend time and money in a trailer park, this is the place to be. I have been dragged to Dos Gringos on several occaisions never had a good time. The people are rude and drunk and have this need to bump into you on purpose or grind their genitailia against you when you walk by.. In the winter the place is freezing as it is all outside. The bathrooms are horribly disgusting and somehow worse then the decor throughout. The music a tribute to the 80s which is great if you wanna hear 500 drunk college kids sing along to Pour Some Sugar On My..... need I really go on?
- Pros: want to pick up drunk college girls? go here!
- Cons: Its a trailer park without doubt!
best day drinking
by miloshasu
this is a great bar at night; crowded, loud and fun; but is exponentially better during the day. the atmosphere is completely relaxed, the food is great and nothing beats a cold corona on a 95 degree day in march
- Pros: cheap beer, great atmosphere
- Cons: over crowded at night
great place to hang out!!
by jessica2706
me and my girlfriends love this place because it is so chill and the drinks are awesome. the only bad thing is some of the bartenders aren't to friendly.
Partiers crowd this Mexican patio for its generous drinks.

In Short
The joint is spacious, with a large patio and two full bars, but it's challenging to move through the festive crowds on weekend nights. Dos Gringos offers a variety of the usual Mexican fare including burritos, quesadillas and nachos, but the place is much better-known for drinks of generous proportions--particularly margaritas.
