Dr. Chen has been my Vet since he opened Pride Animal Hospital in '92. I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. He always is compassionate and kind. He is always upfront about any procedures and test and what the cost is. I appreciate that! He takes whatever time you need to explain things and you never feel rushed! I am grateful that I have such a great Dr. to take care of my Fur Babies.

Pros: Great Customer service, Knowledgable and caring.

Cons: None!

I found Dr. Chen after looking online for recommendations... in the past I have always left the vet's office as though I left a used car lot.. they always try to sell you on everything! My search for the perfect vet has been very frustrating to say the least. Then I found Dr. Chen. Our first experience with him was when we had to bring our elderly cat in for dental work. He was honest and completely up front with everything (even on the risk of an elderly cat going in for surgery). He brought up the cost for the procedure while still in the room with us, I did not have to ask what they would be, or wait for a printout... very honest and upfront! I liked the fact that he also spoke to my daughter like she was an adult rather than 16 (this was her cat that she has had since she was 4 years old)... actually, I think she appreciated it a lot more than I. On our second visit , with another cat, he (and his staff) showed just as much compassion and concern. Since we own a few dogs as well I am sure that we will see Dr. Chen many more times in the future (but not too soon I hope!) - - I cannot say enough how happy I have been with his clinic - he has won us over and is now our "official vet." Even the staff has been amazing!! Great job to everyone at Pride Animal Hospital!

Pros: Caring, Compassionate, Honest

Cons: Five stars isn't enough to rate his clinic...

Dr. Chen is an awesome vet! he has treated numerous cats and dogs of the "STEVENS FAMILY" pets lol. He always gets his sense of humor in with every consultation. I remember when i was younger and told him that i wanted to become a vet he actually let me help him with our dog. It was amazing. He always knows what to do and won't ever take advantage of your money.we used to breed mini daschunds and would bring them into his office for their check up and also when our doggies would have pups. He was so surprised when i came in last year with my new love, bronx. She is a staffordshire terrier he was shocked by was not afraid of her at all! he is a genuine person and a real animal lover! I would recommend him to everyone! The world needs more vets like him out there. Which reminds me I need to go see him again this coming week or so for bronx's check up! He will always give you helpful information about what your pet should eat and diet plans if they are overweight. He is not one of those vets who doesn't let you ask questions, he answers everything! And my bronx actually likes going to see him, she's not afraid which is nice!

Pros: knowledge, kindness, price, reliability, and patience

Cons: none, if you miss your appointment or are late, better call and re-schedual

Dr. Chen has been my vet for my Bichons 10+ years. He takes him time and explains all the info you need to know. Dr. Chen does not upsell or play on your "emotional " state of mind. I highly recommend him to anyone. Thanks Dr. Chen for all the years. You have been a part of our family.

Pros: Great Vet.

Cons: None

Dr. Chen spent what seemed like an eternity discussing the options available for my little doggie. He was professional, friendly, punctual and knowledgeable. Everything you would want in your vet. He gave me options to see how I might want to proceed and even told me the approximate cost of each option. He wasn't trying to "up-sell" me he was including me in the method of treatment. It was my first visit to any vet in the valley because I am new to the area. Dr Chen will be my Sera's primary care-giver as long as I am in the valley. Thank you Dr. Chen.

Dr. Chen is the best vet I've ever had so far! He always takes time to know your pets and treats them like a family. Last month my cat was put to sleep and and it made me feel very sad. Dr. Chen and his staff wrote me a sympathy card and it really warmed me up! I feel I'm treated like an individual instead of just a client. I feel lucky to have him taking care of my other two cats!

Pros: Everything, especially his true passion for pets and professionalism

Cons: None

Dr. Chen is very caring. He has taken care of our pets for over 10 years. He takes the time to answer our questions. He is always available. The staff knows our animals by name when we come in. He has boarded them, and they love coming in to see the staff. Our oldest dog is blind, and the staff is very gentle with her. Our younger dog is sometimes hyper, and Dr. Chen is very understanding with him. He is also great with our cat. We would recommend him to anyone who treats their pets like family.

Dr. Chen was the most impolite vet I have ever encountered. It was my first time at the clinic and I had some trouble finding the place (as there is no signage for it). Upon walking in, there was no one at the front desk and I waited 10 minutes before anyone showed up at the front desk. Dr. Chen proceeded to tell me I was 15 minutes late (even though no one was at the desk for 10 minutes and Dr. Chen was smoking outside the local tanning salon) and that he could not possibly see the dog as they had another appointment coming in. He was rude and spoke to me as if I was a 10-year old child. I would like to remind him that he is providing a service and he cannot treat customers as if they are sub-human. It surprises me that he has been in business this long. Stay away from this man, he is the most unprofessional individual I have ever met!

Pros: None

Cons: Absolutely Everything!

We recently had our dog spayed by Dr. Chen. He was patient thorogh and open about the entire procedure. He is very experienced and knowledgeable and we appreciated his time. I am looking forward to working with Dr. Chen on all of our veterinarian needs in the future.

I have know Dr. Chen since 1992 since he opened his business and I can not say how much what a fantastic vet he is. I was told by 3 other vet hospitals that my puppy had parvo and was going to die, there was nothing I could do except to make her as comfortable as possible. When I decided to go to Dr. Chen he said to leave my puppy with him for one week and we did and he saved her. She is now 13 years old and has always been very healthy. My family only trusts him. Turns out the puppy did not have parvo. He was right. Thanks Dr. Chen

Pros: Knowledgable, Persistent, Caring

Cons: None
