Float your cares away in an inner tube on the river.

In Short
Valley residents know one of the best ways to escape summer's heat is filling up some inner tubes and heading for the lower Salt River, below Saguaro Lake. Tubes can be rented. For 15 miles, people can float lazily down the river, just 30 miles northeast of Mesa. People can choose the length of their route using six different parking lots along the way that have been set up for pick-ups and drop-offs.
Relax on the river

Float down the river with family and friends & a cooler of cold drinks. Call ahead to see which routes are running. Bring water, sunblock, wading shoes & towels for the ride home. You will get wet!
- Pros: inexpensive, good parking, scenery
- Cons: crowded, drunk college kids
