Nightmare on 51st Ave

I just returned from this place, which I visited after seeing a good review rating on this site.

THIS IS THE WORST OF several dozen CHINESE BUFFET places I've been to. Don't be fooled by the seemingly high rating of the place on this site. That's probably manipulated and inflated by the very same people that run the restaurant.

The foods are anything but good, and servers eat right by your table speaking in their own language with no consideration to their customers whatsoever. There was not a single thing that I liked about the place. As if all these were not annoying enough, the price is higher than average. I give this place an absolute ZERO.

• Pros: None, really; oh, parking was no problem. The best spot right in front of the entrance was available.
• Cons: Everything else

The people that run this restaurant are completely rude. They do have a large selection, but individual dishes aren't anything special. Food is usually cold.

NOT RECOMMENDED - First of all, we called this place by phone. We asked if they do take out and the lady said "YES" and we kindly asked them to fax us their menu. The lady said No, we don't take orders over the phone and you have to come in to order. Plus she said they did not have a fax. Well, hello - what is the point of a take-out if you can't order out? Besides the lady was so rude and didn't seem to be pleasant to begin with. Therefore in this case - customer service stinks upfront and lost a potential group of 2 for their bucks. So on we went looking else - we called one other place. Wow, what a pleasannt service and got our fax right away. Now, that's customer service! Ta ta!

My own opinion

I am a high school student, and myself is also a chinese people, and i am sixteen yrs old. And my whole family like this restuarant which is New China Buffet included me. They have many food choices and and price is very cheap comapare to other chinese buffet, i think it is the number one buffet in this whole town. It is crowded sometime but why it is crowded? Because most people like its food.

• Pros: Tasty food, good parkin, Open 7 days a week
• Cons: normal service

Great value, good taste!

I have been to many buffets where volume is equated with quality in the owner's eyes. Here, you will be surprised with the number of meat dishes versus the everpresent vegetable dishes at most Chinese Buffets. The busiest times are the best times because of the turnover in food. Ambience leaves much to be desired, the drink station needs to be cleaned more often, and they should either put a door to the bathroom hall or not put seats right next to it. The solution to that though is just to sit elsewhere.
