in regards to the complaint by kay

by leofanti

this comment in itself is a disgrace. you drove from phoenix to prescott without incident. take it to get inspected and suddenly its deemed unsafe to drive? because of a torn c.v. axle boot? get real. did you notice the vehicle making any "strange or unusual" noises on the way home? now since you didnt want to risk you life driving a car with a torn cv boot, that alone is hilarious, and the $60 dollars in fuel to get there(you should have bought local if its that big of a concern), but you mention no other issue whasoever, so assuming nothing else was wrong with the vehicle, you really think you should be reimbursed for a repair that was not "authorized" in the first place? for instance, you could just have your mechanic put in a new motor, call them and say it was bad, and they owe you for the bill? again, get real. the law you are mentioning also has provisions to protect the seller as well, so read into it a lil more before you say its to protect "you". that door swings both ways. they have the right to inspect the vehicle, now, they cant "force" you to drive the vehicle, with that said, they could have towed the car back to their dealership for inspection. did you give them the opportunity? i highly doubt it, though you played phone tag with them multiple times, your approach may be the reason for the lack of service.

A good place to buy a car.

by bghost

I have been a customer of Dynamite Auto Sales for over 10 years and have bought few cars from them and will continue to by more. They have always treated me right. The first car I bought was a small suv that the engine gave out unexpectedly. I call down to thier office explained the situation. The young lady said she would have the manager call me back as soon as possible, and within the hour i did recieve the call from the manager. I was two days over the 15day 500mile limit. They took care of my problem and made sure i was satisfied. After that i have had no other problems. When buying a used car that is exactly what you are getting, a used car. Its not like these dealerships own these vehicals for years and know a complete history one the car before they sell it. They buy them, inspect them, make repairs and sell them.Take your time on selecting a vehical, even have your own mechanic look it over for you.

I have bought 4 vehicals from them a only had the one problem that was corrected. I also have friends and family that have bought from them and are very happy with their vehicals and service that they have recieved.I highly recommend their dealership.

SHIESTERS, CROOKS, CRIMINALS, HORRIBLE!!!

by dontworryaboutit22

I took my granddaughter out to buy a car from there...She works full time and goes to school. She is on a tight budget, we fought with the sales man....BIG TIME. On which car she would want he wouldn't lease her anything she wanted. We finnaly settled with a CUTE little saturn. Wasn't so cute after we got in off the lot. BROKE DOWN NOT EVEN A MILE AWAY. So they just fixed the spark plugs. Yeah okay thanks. But not even a month later her car STOPPED REVERSING. Her catalic converter went out. Alll of her fluids aren't workin. We try calling and a manager is "never in". They're finnaly starting to budge with us about the car and give us some help BUT BUT BUT BUT...... ITS FOUR MONTHS LATER. My grandaughters been driving this car around because, she has no option....The horn has never worked. Her car sounds like a diesel TRUCK. The check engine lights been on SINCE purchase. How could they be so cruel to a teen ager who just needs to survive to get to work and eat. It leaks the oil we put in.

DONT EVER GO HERE!!

  • Pros: Nothing good about this place. Raul is the only helpful person.
  • Cons: EVERYTHING!!!

GOOD PLACE TO BUY A CAR DESPITE NEGATIVE REVIEW

by sinykin

AFTER CAREFULLY READING THE REVIEW POSTED ON 07/30/2007 BY KAYAKINGRANGER, I HAVE FOUND THAT INFORMATION WRITTEN WAS INCORRECT. THE IMPLIED WARRANTY GIVEN TO THE CUSTOMER STATED THAT HE HAD 15 DAYS OR 500 MILES TO CONTACT US WITH ANY MECHANICAL PROBLEMS THAT THE VEHICLE HAD SO THAT THE DEALERSHIP COULD FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CUSTOMER TOOK IT UPON HIMSELF TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDANT MECHANIC THAT CHARGED HIM 3 TIMES THE AMOUNT OF WHAT IT WOULD HAVE COST THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX. AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE DONE, THE CUSTOMER CALLED US FOR REIMBURSEMENT. IT WAS AT THAT TIME THAT WE REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE REPIARS. PRIOR TO THE REPAIRS BEING DONE, HAD WE HAD ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROBLEM, WE WOULD HAVE COME TO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CUSTOMER. WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE CUSTOMER LIVED PRETTY FAR FROM PHOENIX BUT HE VOIDED THE WARRANTY BY HAVING SOMEONE ELSE FIX THE VEHICLE INSTEAD OF THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. EVEN THOUGH THE CUSTOMER HAD VOIDED HIS WARRANTY, WE WANTED TO ASSIST HIM WITH THE REPAIRS SO WE SENT HIM A CHECK FOR THE PRICE OF THE PART. DYNAMITE AUTO SALES IS A MEMBER IN GOODSTANDING AND WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. WE DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO ASSIST OUR CUSTOMERS . WE TRY OUR BEST TO SELL QUALITY CARS AT REASONABLE PRICES. WE HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND PLAN ON BEING HERE MANY MORE. IN ORDER TO STAY IN BUSINESS, WE MAKE SURE THAT WE TREAT OUR CUSTOMERS RIGHT SO THAT THEY CAN COME BACK.

Completely satisfying

by dianeraz

I had a completely satisfying experience with Dynamite Auto Sales. I took my son to look at cars for college, budget was limited! The stock of cars was very good and we found a car he liked, the sales team allowed us to take it for a test drive and to a mechanic to be checked out! We made the deal and the entire staff provided great customer service from beginning to end. The whole process was easy and no pressure sales. A glitch popped up on the paperwork and they took care of it by the next day. Everyone there could not have been more friendly and accomodating. I would not hesitate recommending to people to at least go and check this dealership out.

  • Pros: customer service, no pressure, good variety of vehicles
  • Cons: Out of the way location

Con artist car sales

by kayakingranger

I purchased a used subaru outback sport from dynamite auto sales and was told at the time of purchase that the car was in great condition and was completely safely operable. I drove the car all the way from phoenix back to prescott and had the vehicle inspected the next day just to make sure everything was alright. It turns out that the cars front 1/2 axle was torn wide open and the mechanics said it was not safe to drive until repaired. I got the repair made and then attempted to call dynamite inquiring why they would sell me an un-safe vehicle and looking for reimbursement as there is an implied warranty of 15 days or 500 miles on the engine and powertrain. The 1/2 axle is obviously a main component of the powertrain and therefore I should have been duely recompensated for the cost of at least the part if not the entire repair. I had to call multiple times for over a week to be able to talk to a manager. The secretary is obviously dodging customer complaint calls by telling my at least 4 seperate times "The manager's not in right now, can you try back in an hour?" . After waiting an hour and calling back, the manager will still be out, "but you can try back tomorrow." Pshh. Yeah right. I finally spoke to a manager after a week and after faxing the actual invoice of the repair to them. They said that they would not reimburse me because I already made the repair and I should have just driven the car all the way back to phoenix so they could look at it. I told them that there was no way that I'm risking my life driving an un-safe vehicle and paying 60 dollars in gas to get to their dealership. The response remained the same. At this point I am filing a complaint with the AZ attorney generals office for a claim on the cost of the part. Stay away from this disgraceful dealership and if you do get conned like me, be sure to follow suite and stick it to them. They need to learn that the law is in place for a reason and they aren't getting around it. Morals lack.

  • Pros: None, find a private seller
  • Cons: Horrible customer service, dangerous neighborhood (come armed)
