there is something on the menu for
everyone, and you really can't go wrong with any foo selection! the oregano's favorite salad and the Pablo Picasso salads are divine, and I'm a huge fan of
their sandwiches on the foccacia bread!! very family friendly, but also really fun and hip, especially at nights. everyone in Arizona knows what Oreganos is -- and for a good reason! it's the place to be!
Greatest food, greatest service

I would recommend this place to anyone! Their menu is HUGE, so there is something for everyone. They have good cheap wine and the Bellini is so strong. I love their salad, sandwiches, pasta, and pizzookie. The service is excellent. I have heard from friends who work as waiters, that it is very tough to get a job over there- which speaks a lot about who they hire. This is my favorite place for a birthday dinner. I only wish they had a location closer to home (north phoenix).
best food ever!!!!!

I love love love LOVE Oreganos!!! It is my favorite restruant ever!!!! The only thing I don't like is their thin crust pizza but thats because I dont like thin crust pizza....but for those of you who do....try it!! My recommendations are the wings!!!! They come 14 in a basket. A lot of people dont know this but you can mix sauces! We always order the medium and gold sauces mixed!!! SOOOO YUMMY!!! I also recommend the cheesey garlic bread! Their salads are huge! Great for sharing! The best salads are the cesaer salad and the pablo picasso salad! My favorite pasta is the lady is a scampi...... its a little spicy so beware! But very tasty! ANd you HAVE to save room for the famous pizookie desert! Words do not discribe how awesomely yummy it is!!!!! GO TO OREGANOS!!!!!
- Pros: service, food,
- Cons: long waits! because its soo yummy
Wonderful food and service

I went to this place with my son and we loved it! We got a thin crust pizza which was delicious and we had the best waiter. It's kind of noisy and very crowded but it's worth it. We got there pretty early in the evening (around 5) and it was already pretty busy, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. By the time we left, though, there was quite a line outside. They also do takout if you would rather eat at home. They have some great jazz tunes playing in the background which I loved. The pizzas take a while to cook (20 - 45 min) so make sure you plan for enough time (they gave my son some dough to play with so that he'd be occupied). I was really very impressed and I plan to go back again and again!
- Pros: good food and service
- Cons: noisy and crowded

In Short
Swingin' tunes--Dean Martin, Louis Prima and Frank Sinatra--fill the air as patrons cluster around small tables. Try the extra-spicy wings of fire or a jazzed-up salad, but stuffed and thin-crust pizzas are the main attraction. Meat lovers should try the Numero One-O, a sausage and pepperoni combo with green peppers and onions. Save room for the Pizzookie, vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies.
Don't Try the Stuffed Crust Pizza
by chefjer
I'm from Chicago and I like a good stuffed pizza. I thought Oregano's would be good, but it turns out that they don't know how to make that type of pizza. The dough that they used would be good for a thin crust pizza, but it is too tough for a stuffed crust. A stuffed crust pizza needs a tender under crust. Also, I thought Oregano's was just a name and not an overused ingredient. There was so much oregano in the sauce that it made the sauce bitter and you could feel pieces of dried oregano in your mouth. On a good note, the servers nd staff were very friendly.
- Pros: Service
- Cons: Noisy!, Recipes
A Phoenix classic

My brother makes it a point that we eat here everytime he comes into town. The Big Rig is great in the restaurant as well as you will have leftovers and they are even better. The only downfall is the setup of the restaurant is its floorplan and layout. Not much room to move and doesn't hold many people so be ready to wait.
- Pros: food, food, food
- Cons: layout
Best restaurant in Tempe
by tkaehr
Oregano's has been my favorite restaurant for years. The food is original enough to keep me coming back once a week, but simple enough that my picky boyfriend loves it too. The ambience and service is always a blast, and the pizza cookie dessert is a MUST. If you plan to visit on a Friday or Saturday night at the Tempe location, plan in at least an hour or two to wait; there's no reservations, and it's a small restaurant that a lot of people love!
- Pros: Great food, dessert, Many choices, Fun ambience
- Cons: Long wait
