Not disappointed

by Foz

On vacation from the UK early to late September, travelling from Texas to San Francisco and back on a road trip. Big Coop fan from the beginning and always wanted to try out his restaurant. Must admit I feared that things may not live up to expectation, and I may be disappointed, however, it was everything I expected and more, the only blot being limited availability on merchandise in larger sizes, I was informed that this was due to the woman in charge being on maternity leave!. The day would have been topped off by meeting the man himself. Lo and behold, 2 days later, I was at a swapmeet at Fairfax High School, Hollywood and who was a customer at one of the stands- the man himself- got a 'photo and had a brief chat- I'm 50 and behaved like I was 15!!- He didn't disappoint either, what an absolute gentleman. This place comes with a high recommend- Not to be missed!!.

  • Pros: Great Value, great food, easy to locate.
  • Cons: Limited size availability in merchandise. (Small gripe) .

Popular!

by MicTheory

Very popular spot for local color if you are the adventurous. Menu is adequate but the atmosphere and casual flair of the spot will bring you back.

Fabulous Service

by Zony

WOW!!! I was Very impressed. I went here while I protested the circus in June 2008 which was being held across the street at US Airways Center. I am vegan and they accomodated my dietary needs. They have a veggie burger which comes with Fruit and french fries (in veggie oil). My friends and I asked that they please turn off the horse racing on one of there MANY big screen tv's, and they did. I bought an alice Cooper hat which wasnt overpriced, and the place is clean. One unique thing I liked about the place was that the staff had eye makeup just like Alice Cooper! Highly recommended- good job Alice!!! Rock On!!

  • Pros: great attention to customers needs

great overall experience!!

by tb6260

If you like a place where you can have a great meal, have a beer with a friend while watching a ball game, and listen to a live band, you have to check out this place. I had a blast! Just a all around fun experience! Me and a couple buddies checked this place out a few months ago right after a diamondbacks game and ended up staying until closing time! Just be careful its right on the corner, so parking can be kind of tough!

  • Pros: big plasma tv's
  • Cons: hard to get outside when bar is full

Cooperstown Rocks!!!

by jacksonfrye

What a great place to check out. There is tons of rock and roll and sports memoribilia all over the walls, the food is great, ice cold draft, great daily drink specials, and on top of that there is live music there all the time. The servers all wear the legendary Alice Cooper eye make up!! What a kick!! We had the best time in there. More big screens, and I mean big screens like 10 foot by 10 foot screens, this is probably the best place in town to watch sports. Also a pleasant suprise is how assume the food and service is, we were promply greeted and well taken care of. I do not know where you can find a better combination of great food, service, live music, sports and all around fun place to hang out. Alice your place ROCKS!!!

  • Pros: all around fun place with great food
  • Cons: it is kind of loud in the place when it is busy

customer service stinks

by srjuan

last friday after a long day at work me and 6 of my coworkers , and after a couple of weeks of looking for this place, and for time to go and have a drink, had the chance to enjoy the afternoon, it was going a be the first time for all of us at coopers place, actually I recommended it.Great fan of the schools out master ,I was prepared for an excellent friday afternoon , and the possibility of catching one of my great idols performing in vivo.Being new to the place we sat in one of the tables, the place was empty ,after a while since nobody attended us, we decided to go to the bar and get our drinks, came back to our table ,and before i had the chance to sip to my beer, a server came and told us, in a very demanding and unpolite way, that the tables were for food ordering customers only, when he was asked where can we seat, he said at the bar, we responded that our idea was to be together, and the bar did no guive that chance, his answer was ,well you can not stay, and he left , a couple of minutes later, came back and we requested the menu, he refused , adding that we could not stay. All this time we were just frustrated and confused about his attitud, we were also mad but nobody made any escene, nobody yelled, myself I just got up left my beer on the table and recomended to leave inmediatly. One of my friends asked for the manager, somebody came and at that point I was walking out of the place just by myself. Things got a little better and the server came back with menus (thanks to the manager). he was forced to do that becouse it was impossible for him to hide that fact. The server had the chance to fix all this mess by just coming back and offering an apology, and be mature enough to accept that he had made a mistake , that alone would have been enough to erase the last 20 minutes out of my memory, and the afternoon could have ended the way we planned. He had no guts to do that.Got up again and I said, we must leave.

Rock-and-roll memorabilia, occasional live music and a staff made up like Alice.

by Contributor

In Short
Located up the street from Chase Field and US Airways Center, this former furniture warehouse is ideally located for Phoenix sports mania. Live music on the outdoor stage ties in with game nights and larger-than-life video screens electrify the bar. The Alice connection comes in the form of memorabilia displays and the Cooper-esque eye makeup worn by the staff, male and female. Cooper's town is known for its margaritas, especially Sammy Hagar's Waborita.

Coop can cook!!

by myronfrye

Sure Alice has ice cold beer and huge screens for sports. There is no better place than Cooperstown to watch sporting events, especially the NFL. They have 6 monster screens and TV's all over the place. But beleive it or not, the food is the real star. The food quality and price points are great. The menu is varied from great snacks to sandwiches to desserts, not to mention the award winning BBQ. Hands down best pulled pork and St. Louis Ribs in town, maybe in the country. Keep rocking Alice.

  • Pros: Huge screens for sports fans
  • Cons: Alice Cooper does not play there enough
