???

by Naomi823

Well i don't have anything bad to say about this place, but when it comes to breakfast i like my bacon and eggs NOT rabbit food. I did'nt even bother to eat here because their breakfast menu is sad well @ least for me. I would not recommend this place to anyone who likes to eat a hearty meal. Menu selection is very small but i did'nt know what to expect for a first time walk-in. It was a walk-in and quick out for me. Well If i want a salad i would make one myself it's not that hard to do.

  • Pros: Really Nice Inside & Friendly Staff
  • Cons: Menu

Love the food

by mydogisyella

Great food, never had a problem with service, love the atmosphere and location but have been twice and both times had a wobbly table that drove me bonkers.

Completly over-rated!! Horrible service

by Ncls

The food was decent but the waitress was a little full of herself. We just recently moved to the neighborhood and were exploring the restaurants near our home. We sat for about half an hour and had lunch. From the moment we sat down we just felt pressured to hurry up and order as if we were in her way! She brought out our food, I asked her for an extra plate and I seriously had to explain to her in detail why I needed it. To make a long story short, the food was good but the service wasn't great. I don't know about everyone else but if the service isn't great, the tip shouldn't be great. I tipped her 10%, paid for our check and started walking to my car. As I was walking she chased me out to the parking lot and asked me if there was anything wrong with my service (in a very aggressive way). She proceeded to tell me that at this restaurant they didn't accept anything less than 15% as a tip and that I seriously needed to think about that before I came in again. Correct me if I'm wrong but a waiter/waitress should have to earn their tip. The food was okay, but the service was horrible. If you like okay over priced food and don't care about service, maybe this place might work for you. Maybe she was just full of herself and the other waiter's aren't. I don't want to say this is a bad restaurant because I've only been there once. This is just the experience I had.

  • Pros: Food was decent
  • Cons: Service was really really really bad

Definitely a MUST DO when in Phoenix

by mjmorgan

I rarely go over the top but this is one heck of a place. Once I got used to the small plate/light fare idea, I settled in for well-prepared foods (very fresh ingredients, good variety of textures and taste). I was knocked off my seat when Nicole Pesce started playing the piano (Steinway, natch). I stumbled across the cafe since it was near my hotel--hadn't heard anything about it. I was told that she's fairly new to the piano (I'd never have guessed) and she is good. Very good. She seemed to go into her own world for about 15 minutes, playing up a storm of classical/jazz/show tune/pop hits that flowed easily into each other. At one point, I recognized a couple of the Schubert improvizations. Thoroughly enjoyable, and what a memory to keep of Phoenix. And I didn't even mention the very competent bar. My kind of martini.

  • Pros: Jazz pianist (no, she does not sing)
  • Cons: Gets crowded but worth any wait

Food and Service Above Average

by seanmalcolm

I'm nearly a food snob and My Florist cafe satisfied my needs. The ambiance, menu, prices, service and live two-piece jazz band (piano & drums) was excellent. If only it were located in North Scottsdale. That said, we'll gladly drive to My Florist again. If you DON'T like chain restaurants but love good food and ambiance you'll like My Florist.

Frou Frou Dining at it's best

by clubphx

Don't expect to be completely stuffed or satisfied. It's a great place for Jazz, a drink and a salad, but there are no hot entrees...which makes it seem like you never really ate at all (even though the portions are big). The ingredients are very fresh; the bread is, of course, fantastic (Willo Bakery next door provides); the desserts are wonderful.

Perfect date combo: Phoenix Art Museum and a meal at My Florist.

  • Pros: Fresh Ingredients
  • Cons: No hot entrees

Early morning to late night, this cosmopolitan cafe is a local favorite for artisan breads and live jazz.

by Contributor

In Short
Diners in ties and tie-dyes mingle at this contemporary eatery. Named for the vintage sign on the rooftop, it might be dubbed "My Flour-ist" cafe for the exceptional breads crafted at the adjacent Willo Bakery. A bread sampler appetizer and the hefty slices used for paninis and other sandwiches satisfy the most starch-starved appetite. Fresh soups and heaping entree salads round out the menu.

Very cool place with great jazz

by floydiusmaximus

My wife and I are originally from San Francisco and this place reminds us so much of San Francisco, including the cold weather. We went for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. The entrees were decent although you can't really order anything hot. I had the special for the evening: crab cake salad. Nothing special and the crab cakes were a bit dry. My wife order the Chicken Salad sandwich and she thought it was superb. Pretty decent wine selection and the prices were 1/2 off! We had a German riesling and it was a great choice. Can't say enough about our waitress. Friendly and prompt. The jazz pianist was fantastic. Played wonderful cool jazz and also jazz renditions of some popular music. The decor was very modern, with blue lighting and tables well spaced. The temperature was very cold. One of things why it reminded us so much of San Francisco. Wear a long-sleeve shirt or bring a sweater. The dessert menu is top-notch. We had the chocolate lava cake and coming from a chocoholic, no complaints here. Plenty of parking at night. Definitely thumbs up. I'd come here again, next time with a jacket!

  • Pros: Ambience, prices, service
  • Cons: Cold indoor climate, no hot entrees

Excellent Lunch Spot

by GirafeLady

My boss took me here for lunch on my first day. It was quite crowded, but it only took a few minutes to be seated. I did, however, find it to be rather noisy and difficult to have a conversation (found myself leaning in quite often to hear her). We both had salads, which were excellent mine had mixed greens, fresh asparagus, carmelized onions and other wonderful vegetables in a light vinaigrette; my boss had their Greek salad, which she apparently has often. Each salad was accompanied by two slices of out-of-the-ordinary bread, which I understand is made fresh daily. Mine was an apricot-something; it was delicious!

  • Pros: Excellent salads, Delicious bread, Valet Parking
  • Cons: Too noisy when busy, Difficult to hear

Ambience is Everything

by speter

This is a perfect restaurant for couples or 'girls night out.' The food was very good and the servers friendly and courteous. The pianist added the right amount of mood music. This restaurant made me feel like I was in a metropolitian city like San Francisco.

  • Pros: food, music
  • Cons: not enough parking
