Great food and service if you feel like going somewhere trendy and franchised. I really enjoy the passion fruit creme brulee, The atmosphere is very sleek.

If you enjoy ok sushi, lost credit cards and waiters that behave as if they are better than you...then you'll LOVE it here.

Great Sushi, and the atmosphere is awesome. Especially located in the mall, it has a great night life! With a diversity of great food, This restaurant is more like a club at night.

Not A "Sushi Bar"

If you want to go out for real quality sushi, this is not the place. It is a restaurant that serves sushi like food. I nice atmosphere for entertaining the "if they could just see me now" yuppie crowd. The sushi is very sub-par. Service was decent but took a very long time for a not so busy Tuesday night. The manager was courteous to come out and explain the extra wait, even though they were not even at 30% occupancy. The portions were fairly generous but not the crisp, fresh, sort of quality I desire. The rolls were so soft they were on the verge of sinking like a ship. Mediocre sushi and a small selection, but short skirts aplenty. I suppose next time I will look for a less trendy, more traditional japanese sushi cuisine establishment to drop $100.
- Pros: Trendy "Scottsdale" Atmosphere.
- Cons: Not for the sushi lovers.
Stylish Pacific Rim restaurant attracts lively bar scenesters to its Fashion Square location.

In Short
Large back-lit aquariums and cranked-up rock music add to the sleek decor and laid-back vibe at Kona Grill, which caters to young professionals and raucous weekend crowds. Pan-seared ahi tuna, baked sea bass, lemongrass-crusted swordfish and chili-glazed salmon are served in generous portions. The macadamia nut chicken with shoyu cream sauce is a favorite.

Delightful surprise to find such a fusion of a fun atmosphere, great food and prices that won't break your wallet (or your date's). I'd recommend going to their happy hour, I think it's 3-7 M-F and F-S they have reverse happy hour beginning at 9pm. They're atlantic roll (sushi) and goat cheese & shitake mushroom pizza are my favs. Definitely worth checking out.

avoid this place if you're having a bad hair day, are fat, old, ugly, have low self-esteem, are looking for a place to talk, or aren't very hungary. if you're in the "in crowd" this is the place for you. i have never seen so many pretty people in one place before! the hostess was wearing the tinniest black dress i have ever seen allowed in the work place short of a street corner. that being said.....the food was pretty good! you MUST try the macadamia nut chicken. it is to die for! the onion rings are HUGE. the onion soup is SALTY. the pot stickers are pretty darn good. it is so unbelievably loud and the music is very "top 20" and very loud. all in all....not bad.
- Pros: pretty cheap, great service, great food
- Cons: slow valey parking, loud, "young"

Brad, the bartender at Kona Grill in Chandler is the best! He's charming and cute...what a great combination! I'd sit at his bar anywhere! By the way the food and drinks are really good too!
- Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Food
