Non-existent customer service. I attempted to transfer my file from one location to this location. Over a period of 11 days, I called their office, I'm not sure, but close to 20 times with no answer. As per the request on the office's outgoing message, I left my information and was instructed my call would be returned shortly. No return call. I called Customer Service and had a "customer care" ticket placed. Four days later, still no return call. The lasers are weak, the service level is horrible making it extremely difficult to actually make an appointment - ensuring that you simply won't be able to schedule enough appointments to eliminate the hair in the contract time (making an overpriced service even more overpriced when you have to schedule additional appointments after contract for a fee). The "techs" don't seem to have been through much training, and in many cases are unprofessional indicated by the ridiculous turnover. One tech even vented how terribly they are paid and overworked. Bad management, terrible company, ripoff alert...

Professional atmosphere, nice dentist, scary staff.. I went to Elegant Smile pretty recently to get a tooth filled - after three visits, I don't think I ever saw a dental assistant attempt a smile. While I liked my dentist (Dr. Nam) very much, she seems to be over-booked with very little time for each patient. She does take care to explain procedures fully, calm any fears you have, and is overall a really pleasant person to have around if you really must have someone around with a drill pointed in your mouth.

Her staff though, are a different story. The dental assistants are curt and bark orders to "be still" when you're getting x-rays - even if you let them know the x-ray stuff they stick in your mouth hurts. They congregate in the hallway and gossip and complain in Spanish while leaving their clients in their exam chairs with no magazines to read and no one to ask questions of before a procedure.

The front office staff are nasty to one another (except one girl who manages to keep out of it - in my opinion because she's too busy answering the phone, checking out patients and not reading magazines in front of clients like the other ones...) While I do intend to continue going to Dr. Nam, I'll probably change dentists once my insurance allows. If she had a complete turnover in staff though...I'd be hers forever!
