I've been going here since they opened & am now a complete blow out addict. A lot of the reviews I've read in various places just astonish me & I can't help but think that with all the competition popping up around town that it must be other businesses trying to bring down their online ratings. Much of the negative things are pretty silly. I hope that people realize this and give it a shot. As someone who has been here dozens of times and to both locations, I can say the service and skills at Primp and Blow are top notch! Many of my friends have been with me and have always been extremely happy too! I just can't say enough good things..it really has gotten to be one of my favorite things to do to pamper myself!

LIMP and FLAT. I went in with my friend and was a bit hesitant because I didn't know what to expect...we were greeted and offered water (when my girlfriend made the appointment she spelled out her name, and when we got there they still had it wrong). So they took her back and I waited a couple of minutes for my stylist.

My experience was average. Shampoo, dry...the products were Bumble and Bumble...but the blow out only lasted a day...thought the idea was to have it last at least a couple! My friend's experience was below average. We were both just disappointed; as this place is in our backyard and we want to support local businesses.

When reviewed on another sight, the owner stated that we were bogus and didn't even come into her salon. Well, maybe its because the person had our name wrong from the get-go! I am ligit and want to tell people of my experience good, bad, or ugly!

There are other blow dry bars...there are other salons that do blow outs for less! AND don't charge for "hot tools." I guess, anything to make a buck theses days!

Found Scottsdale's new TOP salon!!. I'm usually not one to write reviews online but...

This place is AWESOME!!

Everyone has been telling me I MUST try this new salon, so I went with one of my friends who now goes weekly. The concept sounded fun, especially since I love getting my hair blown out and makeup professionally done.

When we walked in we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and offered a beverage. I opted for some champagne and chocolate covered strawberries...Oh why not ;) The place is beautifully decorated with chandeliers, tiffany blue hues and creams. Even though they were pretty busy we didn't have to wait because they were well staffed. My stylist gave the most relaxing shampoo I have ever had (I'm a bit of a shampoo massage snob haha) I chose a hairstyle from the menu and she made my hair look amazing, full of body and it felt exceptionally soft. My hair was finished in about 30 minutes and we moved to the makeup area. They use a new line called Rain cosmetics, which matched my skin so well and naturally that I ended up purchasing a few items. I also had some lashes applied because they had such a large variety to choose from, I couldn't resist. When she was finished with my makeup, I felt like I was red carpet ready even though it was just a thursday :) I was natural looking with my natural beauty magnified, not too overdone, just how I like and just what I requested to my stylist. My friend and I figured it was a must that we at least go out to dinner afterwards since we looked and felt so wonderful.

No doubt this place will be around Scottsdale for a long time and with new locations popping up I have a strong feeling it's going to change how Scottsdale ladies get ready for events. I was really surprised that a place THIS upscale does such beautiful hair and makeup at such an affordable price. Most places cost me an arm and a leg for a blow out, makeup and lashes, and take hours. When checking out at the register I made an appointment for the following week-I am now officially a weekly Primp and Blow girl :)

Worst salon experience ever!. Ick! This place definitely "blows". The staff was totally rude and seemed uninterested in treating me like a patron. The girl who did my hair did nothing but complain and acted like she was doing me a favor. Whoever runs this place should make sure their clients are treated well because in this economy anyone who thinks they can do business like this is in for a rude awakening.

Great experience!. I had excellent service from the staff at Primp and Blow from beginning to end. When I called to book an appointment, they were great with squeezing me in for an event that I had later in the week and accommodating my schedule- but the great service didn’t end there. The boutique is gorgeous, the staff is fun, the personal Ipad they provide is a plus and the results are fabulous. I would recommend Primp and Blow to anyone who needs their hair done for an event or simply for daily wear.
