Tips for Elements Therapeutic Massage

The following is a letter I wrote to the owner:

I work for _ and I am writing to you about my recent experience with the Elements on val vista and chandler blvd. As you know, _ gives out gift cards to your val vista location to both patients and employees alike for various reasons. I received two 30 min gift cards as a prize from one of our recent events and decided to give them to my sister for her 40th birthday. I was planning a party for her, and it seemed like a very nice way to get her out of the house so I could decorate. I called to make an appointment and booked the couples room, so that she and one of her friends could chat while they got a massage. I then received a call informing me that in order to get a couples massage I had to book at least an hour massage for each. I was a little annoyed that I wasn't informed of this when I made the appointment, but I agreed and paid for them both to have an hour massage as well as included a $10 tip ($89 total). My sister's friend got food poisoning and was unable to go, so I called and informed the office that her husband would be going with her instead. At no point during any of these calls, was I either informed or reminded that they would need to be there 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. My sister and her husband arrived, albeit five minutes late, only to be told that they had to fill out paperwork and that they would only be getting a 30 minute massage. Despite the fact that; I had paid for them to get a full hour, and that the office was basically empty. No refund was offered. Needless to say, they left. That was last Sunday. Since then I have called, practically every day, to talk to the manager and get a refund. I was told repeatedly by your staff that the manager was, "unavailable". The manager finally called me back on Thursday, but I missed the call and have not been able to get a hold of her since then. During my calls, I repeatedly told two of your staff (Asia and Danielle) that I wanted a refund, but neither of them ever offered to help me. As it stands now, it has literally been a week and I have yet to talk to the manager or get a simple refund. So, not only was my sister's birthday present ruined; the "customer service" we received has been absolutely abysmal. It is sad to say, but my only option at this point seems to be to stop payment. After this, I can honestly say that I will never go to an Elements again and if given a gift card; I will simply give it back.

Man, ohman, they are good - but ask for their deep tissue. I really like their deep tissue people there. You have to ask for them though, like you can't just say you want a massage. They'll put you with them if you say you want deep tissue.

BEST PREGNANCY MASSAGE EVER!. I don't usually write reviews a lot, but I have to say that these guys are the BEST place for a pregnancy massage! They have the cut out tables with the sling underneath and I finally got to stretch out my back.. much needed cuz I'm about to burst at the seams with being almost 34 weeks. They give us preggo ladies special treatment and have a prenatal plan to suit whatever stage you are in.. cool... THE place to go!

Not Like Envy. I have been to Massage Envy before and really didn't have a favorable experience. I was skeptical about another massage place that offered a membership, but I needed a massage. I was pleasantly surprised. While elements does have a membership program, I wouldn't be locked in for life, nor was I pressured to join. I left with the info I needed and brought it back tonight for my appointment. I can even share the membership with my husband and daughter. I've been twice with 2 different therapists and both were very good. I'm so glad I found this place.

Finally the perfect place for me. I’ve tried several massage therapists and many massage studios over the last 10 years and I have never been able to settle with one. I finally discovered Elements and I will never go anywhere else. I’ve tried several of the therapists here and I love them all! The environment is calming, service is excellent, and the price is just right. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

I feel so good now. I first started going to elements because of neck pain. I was skeptical of massage but had tried everything. They suggested some deep tissue and trigger point masasge. Then they signed me up on a wellness plan, they told me if after 3 sessions I didnt feel better I could get a refund. Sounded good to me! So I signed up and I am still a member 8 months later. I came in once a week for a month and now go just once a month. I cant tell you how much better I feel. I have so much more mobility and a lot less pain. Thank you elements!

Best Prenatal Massage. I came here specifically for the cut-out table. I was not disappointed. I was able to lie on my stomach for the first time in months and receive a massage as if I didn't have such a big tummy. So totally worth it!

First timer turned life timer. What a friendly, helpful staff. When I walked into Elements I was taken away by the calming vibe. I had never received a massage before and the front desk staff explained what to expect and help pick out the right type of massage for me. I was also matched with the perfect therapist for my specific needs. The massage was excellent! I was hooked within the first minute. I’m now a regular at Elements!

Best therapy. I came to Elements to help me work out some muscle issues I have accumulated from years of playing sports and lifting weights. I received an excellent massage that relieved all the muscle problems I’ve been dealing with for so long. I try to make it a weekly routine to get my therapy from Elements. I always leave feeling healthy and refreshed.
