Senor Taco is a restaurant located on Power and Mckellips in Mesa, Arizona. There is also a location in Fountain Hills, Arizona. It is family owned and operated. We have all seen the knock off Filibertos that open and shut down before the year is over. At first I thought that Senor Taco would be the same. Yes, it is very similar to Filibertos and even has the same menu but with a few changes. What makes Senor Taco different from the famous Filibertos? Filibertos has a reputation for being poor quality. The first time I went to Senor Taco, I was expecting the greasy burrito that is made a little differently every time you go, but I was wrong.
When I got my food from Senor Taco, I looked down and saw a big burrito with some home made tortilla chips next to it. You could tell that it was made with love and they take pride in their food. I got the hash brown burrito which is a breakfast burrito and also one that they don’s offer at Filibertos. I was amazingly surprised at the taste and texture of the burrito. I thought to myself, “I wouldn’t change a thing on it!” The hash browns were cooked to perfection and there was just the right amount of juicy sausage. The burrito was also filled with cheese and sour cream. After I was done devouring the amazing meal, I sat for a while, totally stuffed and thought, “ that was so good, I could eat another”. The burritos will leave you completely satisfied.
The service is great at Senor Taco. One of the walls in the restaurant is fully devoted to the notes and reviews of satisfied customers, saying how great the place is and how it’s the best mexican food on the planet. Every time I go, i’m greeted with smile and have never waited long for my food. Senor Taco is a fast food place, but in a sit down restaurant environment.
One negative thing that I would change is the hours. Since it is a family owned restaurant, they are not open 24 hours. It opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 10:00 PM. In my opinion the best time to eat a burrito is 2:30 in the morning, after hanging with your friends all night. There are only two Senor Tacos that I know of in Arizona. One in East Mesa and the other is in the middle of Fountain Hills.
Senor Taco is a great choice if you are looking for good, fast authentic Mexican food that you can enjoy under seven dollars a person. I have taken many people to Senor Taco and they are all now frequent customers. If you go to Senor Taco, you will want to go back. Give it a try!
Senot Taco. Senor Taco is a excellent place to go If your looking for cheap, great tasting Mexican food. Its located on 1929 North Power Road Mesa, Arizona. Its a quaint store with indoor and outdoor seating also including festive music playing at a moderate level in the background. When you enter the store you are warmly welcomed by the cashier and quickly asked what you would like for a meal. In five to ten minutes you will receive your choice of dish. In my case a huge burrito known as the California Carne Esada. This is a very large burrito filled with tons of carne esada meat cooked to perfection along with handful of crisp freshly made french fries diced tomatoes shredded lettuce and cheese. The burrito was so good I almost wish I had payed more money for it. The best time to go in is about an hour before most eating periods or you will have to wait in line even though they will get to you in a suitable amount of time. The great thing about this place is you can go to please your appetite because the make so many different tacos and burritos. Also its a place you can go with a bunch of friends to just sit down enjoy your food and hang out and have a good time talking. It is so popular amongst most my friends most of them can say the employees know there name and what there favorite dish is.
THE BEST CARNE ESADA BURRITO EVER.
Senr Taco always makes great mexican food in a timely manner, no matter what it is. My favorite thing to get there is the carne esada burrito.
A heap of extremely tasty esada stuffed into a warm tortilla with juicy pico de gallo and smooth guacamole. The beef was cooked to perfection. Each little meaty bite was well done with no pink in the center, yet dipping with flavor and juice. The burrito came with side of chips and salsa. The tortilla chips were salted well and the diablo salsa was flavorful and spicy.
The service wasn't exceptionally good, but the workers were well mannered enough that it didn't effect my experience. Walking up to the counter to order my burrito, I was slightly put off by the demeanor of the cashier. There was no, "Hi, welcome to Senor Taco. What can i get for you?". It was just "What do you want to eat?"Other than the grouchy cashier the service was alright. My food arrived in a short period of time so i was happy.
This was most definitely a positive experience for me and I would recommend it for anyone who has a hankering for good mexican food.
