This place is terrible- don't go here!. I usually get my hair done at another well known salon in Phoenix, but when they were totally booked and it was an emergency, I went here, only because I saw it driving down the street. I got color and a cut and WOW- words can NOT describe how bad it was. Streaky, poorly done, horrible, and my cut nearly ruined my hair. Oddly enough, what was even worse than what this woman did to my hair was the attitude of the staff- totally unprofessional, rude. I felt honestly like I was in a beauty school drop out camp. Going here was the biggest mistake/waste of money I have made in a long time and I definitely say look elsewhere before going here.
Customer for Life. Being a hetero male I don't go around pronouncing very often how great my salon experience was, but after going to The Spot I feel compelled to do so. Being in the relationship business I have a deep understanding of what it takes to not only acquire customers, but to keep them. Like many others, a stylist that I had been working with for a number of years made the move to The Spot and I followed. The ambiance and atmosphere of The Spot instantly drew me in. From the massage chairs to the drink service the loud orange flare, I knew I my stylist had moved to the right place. Soon after I started going there my stylist got a wild hair up her butt and decided to move to Korea and being the loyal customer that I am I found myself with no one to take care of my hair. On Holly's (the awesome owner) reccomendation I decided to start using AJ. AJ is awesome and I love her personality and technique. Since I have been going to The Spot for a couple of years now and getting to know the staff, I feel like family every time I walk through the door. They always accomodate my insane schedule and go above and beyond to keep me looking fresh. I will only do business with people or organizations that have been reccomended by a reliable source and give 5 star service, and trust me, The Spot is where you need to go.
Best Salon in Phoenix. I'd like to start off by saying that The Spot is definitely not the place for negative people. Everyone, including the clientele, is happy and upbeat. It's a very easy-going place. They'll always put a smile on your face. The time flies by whenever I'm there. I get compliments on my hair all the time. I tell everybody to go The Spot. So far, all of my friends have had nothing but POSITIVE things to say.
Friendly staff, best products. I've been going to The Spot every six weeks for about two years now to have my cut and color done. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The salon is adorable with a fresh, clean environment. There is always a cheerful voice on the end of line when I call to schedule appointments. I have a warm, comfortable feeling from the second I walk in the door. If my stylist is out, I know that any of the stylists there can give me what I need. The product line has completely changed my hair. I will never use anything else. I look forward to my appointments. They are the highlight of my week! (no pun intended)
I agree with the other reviews- do NOT go here.. I am reviewing to agree with the above comments. I was sitting with my friend (the writer- hair extensions) throughout her appointment, and I can second the fact that both the stylist and the owner knew they were wrong, knew it was done badly and it looked awful, and still let her leave even though she was visibly upset. The actually tried to give her ?do-it-yourself? hair dye (that looked disgusting), and told her to give it a shot at home- how unprofessional is that? It?s one thing to do a bad job- I guess it happens to everyone- but to not own up to it, and then to tell off the customer on the phone when they are just looking for some help. I agree- don?t go here. Horrible customer service.

Without writing a novel, I wanted to quickly address the lack of courtesy and professionalism at this salon. As women, we all know how important it is for us to find a salon or hairstylist that we trust and rely on.... and we pay mucho bucks when we find it. In return, we expect to be treated fairly, with the utmost customer service and attention, and to leave feeling completely satisfied after our appointment. Of course, it doesn't always turn out that way, but I certainly expect my salon to do their best to meet my satisfaction. Through my own experience, as well as other word-of-mouth experiences, I have come to find that the owner/manager of Spot Salon does not agree with the above. If you have a disagreement, she will not oblige, she will not listen, and she will not care. Instead she will go on the defensive, and instead of trying to smooth you over or offer an alternative or solution, she will tell you your business is not welcome.
So if your thining of giving spot salon a try, I would recommend you find another salon who will treat you fairly. AVOID SPOT SALON AT ALL COSTS!
Avoid it! Unfortunately, someone at The Spot missed the customer service memo.. Read my horror story and avoid this salon at all costs! The stylist I have been going to for 3 plus years semi-recently started working at The Spot. In addition to cut and color, she has done my extensions several times before, so I decided to give her new salon a try. As I scheduled it, the owner (?) told me I needed to book a few separate appointments to put them in, which I refuted, since it has never been the case in the past (and since I no longer live in Phoenix). I was rushed through my appointment, the application was terrible, the color didn?t match, and though my stylist promised to correct the mistakes at the end, she didn?t. I was sent on my way with cheap looking, poorly applied extensions which began to fall out one by one, till over 30 had fallen out in just 3 days. When I called my stylist to ask what I should do, she didn?t return my call. I called the salon to speak with the owner (?), who proceeded to tell me off, saying it was MY fault that the extensions looked horrible since I chose to complete my appointment in only a day (even though that is how it had always been in the past, and I have never heard of anyone getting their extensions applied in multi-day increments). I was also told that calling my stylist to complain was ?rude? which means they must not care if they have an un happy customer. I have known my stylist for years and calling her has never been an issue, and it wasn?t a big deal to her when she texted me the night before my appointment because she saw me out at dinner. The owner (?) tried to tell me I got a ?smoking deal? on my extensions, though now I will have to pay several hundred dollars to get them fixed, which is ironic. Oh and she also told me not to come back- probably the only thing she and I agreed on the whole conversation. Even if she thinks I am wrong, no need to beso insanely rude and unprofessional. My new Spot for hair. I had been going to Mood Swings in Tempe because my hair stylist was there. A salon doesn't cut your hair -- a person does. So, when Steven told me he was moving to The Spot, one of my first questions was, "Where is it?" I had my first appointment there last weekend and the place is fun! First, Steven is there -- and he's the person I trust with my hair. Second, the other people I met there are friendly and outgoing and the place is just a happy place to be. And, they have actual parking! Yes, it's farther for me to go from where I live, but the drive is worth it for the service and the atmosphere. Love this Spot!
