Jackrabbit must want to be the next has been!. Got a table through a friend. They gave us 2 bottles (1 complimentary and 1 for $100). When we first got there the place was EMPTY. It stayed like that the entire night. When it came to paying the bill, they charged 100% gratuity, $50 for a each bottle (was not brought to my attention until I saw the bill). I was willing to pay $150 (50% gratuity) but why should I be charged for a FREE bottle??? After they handed me my card and I.D. I refused to sign the receipt for $200. They ended up taking my card and I.D. away from me and would not give me my belongings until I signed the recepit. After 30 minutes of arguing I signed the receipt. They apparenly needed the money more than I did. Just thought it was sneaky and TERRIBLE service especially on a dead night. I see them going out of business in the near future. Let's help them so they don't do this to anyone else!!!
Not what you think it is!!!!. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. My husband and I went last night for the first time. It was a $40 cover per person and there is not burlesque performances anymore, nor is there food - they need to remove the work Supper from their name!!! It is a club to go and dance and drink alcohol. The drinks were another thing - I drink about 5 times a year - so most consider me a light weight - my first drink was $8, which I think is inexpensive, but it was so watered down that it felt like I was drinking water with lemon. After complaining for several minutes about it they provided another drink (free of charge) that was a tiny bit stronger. Needless to say we paid $80 to get in for an hour of unhappiness and left. I would NOT recommend this for anyone unless you strictly like the club scene. Note - I tried to call numerous times for a couple of days before going and no one EVER answered the phone or returned messages that I left. That should of told me something right there - but we gave them a chance anyway.
lame lame lame. i signed up to have a "vip" lounge for 250 for 2 bottles. i get there hoping the vip booth isnt just a booth in the middle of the bar where anybody could just come up and sit. i was wrong. the waitress tells me its 300 not 250, fine whatever. then when i go to pay for it on my credit card it come out to over 400! she says its 100+ for administration fees! wtf! f that. i guess no tip for you. i suggest finding another bar or at least dont get caught up with this vip crap. its not vip. its a small booth in the middle of the bar. i wont be back ever. o and the doorman was a prick too which i find to be pretty normal in scottsdale. i would give it 0 out of 5 stars but it wont let me
Great Place!!!!. Hats off to who ever put this place together. The place is small but unique and the people and staff are great. I had a chance to meet the owner Dan and he is very nice and he treated us to drinks. I usally dont leave alot of reviews but they did a great job.
Great band and show!. If you are in Scottsdale you have to drop by this place! We showed up at about 10:15, which was perfect because it wasn't crowded (yet!) and we got the opportunity to get drinks and lounge. The band is absolutely fantastic and we just wish they would have played the entire time! The burlesque show is unlike anything I have ever seen, and is very entertaining. The whole club stops to watch the performances and the dancers are classically trained. Drinks were priced accordingly and were to my liking. I enjoyed the outdoor seating area where you could still hear the music but have a conversation. The other nice thing about Jackrabbit, is they don't let just anyone in. Which any young woman going out to a club can appreciate.
Great Show, Great Music, Great Food.
I was at Jackrabbit last week, and was amazed. There is no other place like this in Arizona. The dancers are classy and top-notch, and the band is amazing in their treatment of everything from Jazz and Swing standards to songs by Radiohead, Nirvana, Snoop Dogg, Jimi Hendrix, etc. This club gets very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, so I'd suggest getting there before 10.
Drinks are a bit expensive, but that goes with the territory. When I was standing in line, I noticed there were 2 Lamborghinis and a Ferrari parked in front of the club. The food is surprisingly good and not particularly expensive. I had the filet mignon sloppy joe and it was awesome. Appropriate attire is important, everybody from the bouncers to the waitresses to the band to the patrons were looking sharp, and the dancers are absolutely stunning. They perform 3 to 5 shows every night, and they are not to be missed.
In response to a previous poster's experience -- John is one of the club's owners, and he is very careful to keep the place running smoothly. He is a sweet guy but very impatient if you cop an attitude to him.. he has to deal with many many people every night as the club is consistently packed.
Terrible customer service. I have recently moved here from Los Angeles where I have been to many of the hot clubs. I heard Jackrabbit Lounge was supposed to be the new hot spot in Scottsdale, but when I got there I found it was far from the truth. On a Friday night my friends had a table there and we found the place to be small and crowded. The following Saturday night my friend and I decided to give it a second chance, but the rude and arrogant bouncer named John proceeded to tell me that my ID from California was fake even though I had just been there the night before and he had checked my ID then as well. When he had asked about all of my personal information on the ID I told him everything, because it was all the truth. He continued to be rude to my female friend and I, so we left. We spent a lot of money there the previous night and both of us are obviously of age, so I don't understand how someone could be so narrow minded!!! So save your money and go somewhere worth while where they won't treat you badly, because JOHN the bouncer is extremely rude. I mean get off your high horse...you are 30 something and all you do is work the door at a club!!! Get a life.
Average Scottsdale Club.
Ok so here it is, the review for the JackRabbit,
My Husband have lived in Scottsdale for about 8 years and have frequented the clubs many many times over the years and really enjoy the nicer ones. We heard great things about the jackrabbit as it is supposedly the "New Chic" night spot. We tried to go many times but the line was too long, and frankly, we don't wait in line for any bar. We decided to reserve a table inside a few weeks ago and were not impressed. The table cost is about $300 and the tiny outside tables are $180... for sitting on bench.
The interior is dark and seems somewhat empty or lacking tables. I suppose this space can be used as a dance floor but I only saw patrons standing around watching the short lived burlesque show. This club is no different from suede, six, pussycat lounge or drift. If you like a lounge envirnment I suggest six, muz9, Minx and sometimes suede but the jackrabbit is too small and boring.
Editorial Review by Nicole Urso. A modern interpretation of the va-va-voom girlie shows, this Scottsdale hot spot is a sultry combo of burlesque performances and a late-night dance club.
