FANTASTIC BREAKFAST/LUNCH SPOT! The raves from all my friends were well earned. Breakfast couldn't have been more perfect. Fresh-squeezed OJ! Great coffee! Fluffy omeletes! On-point service with a smile. Great value. Premium ingredients. Well-run restaurant.

JUST GREAT BREAKFAST!. As a mother of two, I am always on the look-out for new and great places to eat. I was drawn to Butterfield's based on the numerous glowing reviews and “best breakfast” awards it had received in the local press. Not to mention that every friend I know in the area said that this was “the best” place for breakfast. Boy, were they all right! This place is great! The lines can sometimes be long on the weekends, but they move fast and are worth the wait.

While my children love this restaurant, I feel just as comfortable going there with my girlfriends for brunch and it is not unusual to see the business-men in suits "closing the deal", to the tourists from the local golf resorts, to the occasional athlete and movie star.

While there isn't enough space here to fully describe the delightful food, put simply, their menu has every breakfast staple covered and done exceedingly well and in a creative manner.

In summary, I think Butterfield's follows the simple recipe for success that so many restaurants are unable to execute: (1) fresh and great tasting food served fast and consistently, (2) cleanliness and (3) great service.

In all of my visits, the quality has never wavered and each experience has been better than the last. If you are looking for breakfast in Scottsdale be sure to check out Butterfield's!

BEST BREAKFAST IN SCOTTSDALE!. Wow! I have found my new favorite breakfast/lunch spot in Scottsdale! I visited several times before writing this review just to make sure. My verdict is that this place is obsessive about quality, service and cleanliness. The OJ is SQUEEZED FRESH right before your eyes. The coffee always comes out strong, hot and never-ending. The food is always consistently perfect and fresh. Finally, this place has perfected the lost art of providing polite, attentive and fast service. TWO THUMBS UP, BUTTERFIELD'S!

P.S I don't know how they do it because the place is always busy, but the bathrooms are always SPOTLESS.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU DON't WANT TO GET SICK!. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU DON't WANT TO GET SICK! My wife and I ate breakfast there on Sunday morning, September 26, 2010. Within an hour after leaving we both had severe stomach pains with the runs and vomiting. We went to our DR the next day and he said that we both had food poisoning. We were sick all week and couldn't hold food down until Thursday. I have been asking around and MANY other people I have spoken to have said that they have also gotten sick after eating there.

Yummy Yum Yum. this place is amazing. we went on a Saturday around noon and the place was packed. we had to wait for about 30 minutes, but it was well worth it. the restaurant is run like a assembly line. every staff member was working at light speed to get customers in and out. i was very impressed with their efficiency especially since the quality of service and food didn't seem to suffer. i highly recommend visiting Butterfields.

Good enough to make a low-carber weep. If you are on a diet, the pancakes here are worth breaking it! The pancakes are fluffy and light, not heavy hockey pucks like Bisquick ones. The Denver omelette is dreamy. If you like catsup on your eggs (like me), you won't miss it on this. It is that good. The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. I can't ever imagine a place serving breakfast food after 11:00 am being this good, but Butterfield's does it wonderfully. Visit this gem. You won't regret it!
