Tips for Sameras Salon

Review of Samera's Salon in Cave Creek, AZ. First of all, Samera's has moved from the Cave Creek Road location to Tatum and Dynamite, a few miles away. The address is on Tatum Rd. See listing #2.

After trying several places over several years for a haircut I could be happy with consistently, even Salon Surreal which is very close to where I live and has very good reviews on CitySearch. Samera's was recommended to me by a friend in Carefree a few years ago. I drive several miles from Central Phoenix to get a haircut by Samera. I LOVE her haircuts. Best of all, if I ask her to do something differently, she does what I ask.

I don't color my hair, but I'm told she is a great colorist. I have not experienced any of the negative things the first review said. Sometimes Samera has the teapot on and she serves wonderful hot tea. The bathroom is clean and the salon is clean. I don't know what that person is talking about. Samera is not a chatterbox, and I like that. Right now she is the only hairdresser in the salon, and she is very busy.

She gives a fantastic shampoo and my experience overall at Samera's is pleasant and relaxing. Besides I always leave happy with my hair.

Good Basic Salon & Services. Samera's Salon is not an upscale boutique salon but a small, informal salon located on the corner of Tatum Blvd. and Dynamite. Both my husband and son get their hair cut with Samera and have not been disappointed in the 5+ years they've been going to her. I do not go to Samera due to a long relationship with my own stylist, but on the occasions that I've accompanied by son, I have never seen the salon described as the woman described it in the previous review. Samera does wear her hair long and clips it. I do not see anything wrong with this common method of keeping hair out of the way while working. Her products are not leftovers as described and are neatly displayed. While waiting for my son, I've seen women leave the salon looking beautiful and happy with their new haircuts & color so I don't think you should base your decision on one disgruntled person.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! BUT SEND YOUR ENEMIES!!!. If I could have given no stars I would have. WORST haircut I EVER got! The salon is dirty, products are leftovers and NONE of the styling tools are sanitized. Simply disgusting! Hair is piled up in the corners - just gross. And the owner who is the only one who does hair is horrendous. The place looks like a ghost town inside. There is no one else doing hair except the one lady! Put it this way - if you walk in and see the top stylist in the place with her hair unkempt and put up in a butterfly clip, you should RUN. If they can't even keep their own hair nicely washed and styled, then what will they do to yours? I really wish I had bolted the first time I saw this woman!
