FAV AZ Italian restaurant. If you think of Olive Garden as good italian food, then this place probably isn't for you. But if you like authentic italian food from non-chain establishments, then it doesn't get better than La Stalla! My husband and I first tried this place after a trip to Italy and were amazed how truely authentic the menu was (we really didn't know what authentic was until going to Italy and then came back craving more!). Every dish we've tried is delicious and the rustic decor is very romantic. The pizza is second only to Pizzeria Bianca...but without the 3 hour wait!

poor service. Disappointed in the service, wont go back. We had reservations for 10 on a Wed. night and the place was pretty empty. The manager (owner?) wouldnt seat us until 6 showed up, which is fair but there were lots of seats and it was 7pm. When our 6th person showed up, he still wouldnt seat us saying " what if no one else in your party shows up? Then I will have to break up the tables for my other customers", there were at least 10 empty tables in addition to ours. We were finally allowed to sit instead of stand around in the bar area (none of us felt like ordering drinks after his rudeness) and the food was good but the waitress messed up the order. When we pointed out to her that our non-beef eating friend did not order the veal, she at first accused us of being wrong. She checked her notes then realized her mistake. She did the same to another one of our folks and so took back the food but they did not get their meal until the rest of us had finished eating. We were stuck paying 18% gratuity since our party was bigger than 8 and they automatically tack that on. I have no problem with the automated gratuity but she should have given us better service for the $50 she got.

great authentic italian dishes!. My husband and I eat out often, and this is one of our favorite places! We love the atmosphere, and the food is truly wonderful! The service is just right, they don't overwhelm you, but they check often enough. The pasta dishes are delightful and the lasagna is really great (I usually only prefer my own!) Also the place is pretty kid friendly, we've taken our 10 month there a couple of times. It is more of a romantic date/anniversary place though. We love La Stalla! Great for a night out with your sweet heart or even a small group.

Great Food & Great Service. Been here a many times and will continue to go back. A very cozy place with great food. It also nice to get away from the corporate/chain restaurants. A great addition the the Chandler area and fits in well with its setting by the San Marcos. Must try soups and pizzas.

Not great customer service. Our anniversary was on a Sat. night and son was at a friends so we got to go out for dinner. Had been wanting to try this resturant for awhile. We got there early about 5:30 and looked at menu first because i'm vegetarian, while husband is a carnivore. The hostess pointed out a chicken dish and when i said i don't eat meat she replied "i didn't know it was meat". We decided to give it a try and while still going over menu asked our server for a suggestion on a meatless dish she pointed to an entree with prosciuto. (don't know if i spelled that right but i do know it's meat) . Our server also gave us the impression that she would have rather been any where else. The food was ok but what we paid for our night out was a disappointment. It got better when we walked down to 98 South had a couple glasses of wine and attentive servers.
