Their large Chopped Antipasto Salad is pretty small. Not chopped very well nor worth $20. The Scottsdale restaurant make much bigger and better ones. I get one every time I'm in there hood. I'll stick with Olive Garden for my Italian food.

lousy service, hungry customer. This review, sadly, is due to lack of service. We were looking forward to a Buca Di Beppo lunch. When arriving about 12:05 we were surprised to find only about a half-dozen in the lot. When entering, there was no one at the host desk. After a few minutes, a server went through to the dining room and said over her shoulder, that someone would be with us. After waiting another 5+ minutes, we finally left. No one ever came to seat us. Obviously, the the lack of lunchtime customers is for a reason. Working people don't have time to wait to be seated, and non-working ones don't need to. We went to Bellagio, and had a really nice Italian lunch. By the way, the dining room was nearly fulll, and we were seated immediately. Take a lesson, Buca.

Family style Italian. I had heard about Buca di Beppo from several friends who touted it as having a warm atmosphere, great food, and large food portions. I was told to bring friends, as the large portions suit a group of people and allow you to sample several dishes rather than just one. Based on this, I went with a couple friends and my young daughter.

The eclectic collection of pictures on the walls gave an unlimited amount of conversational topics and the delicious smells added to the overall feel of a cozy place to relax and unwind. Ordering consisted of choosing a dish and then deciding the portion size, large or small. As there were only four of us, one of whom was sharing my food, we opted for the small portions.

We decided upon some garlic bread as an appetizer, and then the chicken saltimbocca and the stuffed shells (which our waitress warned us was slightly spicy) for entrees. Finishing off the meal was tiramisu for dessert.

The garlic bread was brought in a short time, allowing us to munch for a bit before the main course arrived. It was warm and cheesy, toasted just enough to give some crisp in the bite but not overcooking the cheese. There was however, a noticeable lack of garlic.

The stuffed shells and chicken saltimbocca arrived, both with six portions to a platter, which was the perfect amount of food for our small group. The stuffed shells were cooked to perfection, the very definition of al dente, and had a homemade (rather than store bought) taste to them. The spicy flavor that our waitress had warned us of was the Italian sausage which was a welcome burst of flavor amidst the cheese stuffing.

The chicken saltimbocca was a subtle collection of flavors which was enhanced by the artichoke hearts. Both the chicken and the artichokes were well cooked, with a nice texture that danced throughout your mouth, rather than lumping up or coating everything.

Lastly, we ordered a serving of tiramisu for dessert. A single order of this was all that was needed as it came in a porridge sized bowl and was more than enough for all of us and a carry home portion as well. I was positively assaulted by the rum and espresso flavors which left no doubt as to what I was delving into. This was an excellent ending to a good meal.

Overall, I was very pleased with the meal, atmosphere, and service that Buca di Beppo offered.

The best Baked Ravioli around. Bucca di Beppo, being on of the most memorable restaurants out there, is an experience itself to be able to view the interesting style and theme chosen. This Italian restaurant is structured mainly for large group or family lunches and dinners. With the two sized meals, small serving up to three people, and large serving up to six, it is wise to bring a couple more people to join. Buca di Beppo is unique and fun to eat at, with the hundreds of Italian pictures covering the walls throughout the restaurant, the ordering style, and enjoyable music. Special occasions work well with Buca di Beppo.

The Baked Ravioli is a pasta filled with four cheeses, then rolled in fresh marinara sauce. If any suggestions for a meal were to be made from here, it would be this ravioli. For a small plate, which can feed three people, is only $15.95. The overall experience of the restaurant and delicious taste of this meal is incredible.

Get cozy with friends and family and enjoy an Italian feast at this loved-by-locals restaurant.. In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!

Italian served family-style. Anyone who wants to place this in the special occasion dining section of these reviews is missing the boat. This is your average chain family-oriented Italian that serves huge portions at reasonable prices. Although the food is good, there is nothing special about it. Unfortunately Phoenix seems to be a chain oriented dining town, so try some of the other local establishments if you want something for special occasion, but if you want to take your family out for an Italian dinner served family-style, this is the place.

Old word italian. Unlike chain Italian, this place seems to make most of their food from scratch. This result in fresher taste. The garlic bread has real garlic, but too much of cheese that it eat more like pizza. the Apple salad is refreshing with the right amount of dressing. Main dishes portion are big. The desert is made in house. The wait can be long on busy weekends night.

Their service is so refreshing, always friendly and fun. The food is top notch! The portion sizes are perfect, especially for reheating the next night.
