Phoenix >NIX Supper Club
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Casual restaurant serves a contemporary menu that features crab cakes, pan-seared halibut, mushroom ravioli, steak and rack of lamb.
Enjoyable Night out. We attended Nix with another couple. We were greeted promptly and seated. It was not busy for a Sat. evening. The service staff took our drink order promptly and the wine selection while not large included some great selections. The food was very good, some of the better food Ive had while dining out, and the preparation was well done. The services was a little hit and miss for not being very busy, the second bottle of wine took some time to be opened. The chocolate desert was awesome. A very good dining experience, very friendly staff and a nice dining experience. I will be returning and would recommend trying Nix.
Very Disappointing. The quality of food and service was way below my expectations. Phoenix magazine reviewed the restaurant as a "best new" and it is not. The owner and wait staff were friendly, but inattentive. The food was ill prepared! Such unbelievably mediocre quality and presentation. Sushi grade tuna appetizer was dry & flavorless. Salmon was dry, lamb over cooked, although the flavor of the lamb was nice. Nix is a disappointment and waste of time. If you are not particular about what you eat, you may enjoy the restaurant as other readers have. But if you have taste and digression and like to be impressed or at least satisfied, you will not.
Best kept secret!. We have been here several times and have not had a bad bite yet. The service is personal and knowledegable, the food is even better. Their wine list offers a full range and the staff offers excellent pairing advice with the menu items. Give yourself a treat and go to dinner here soon!
