Tan Factory on Hayden is a great tanning salon. The employees are friendly and helpful, with an abundance of knowledge in the business. The location is easy to find, very clean and organized, and their beds are state of the art. I achieved the level of tan desired in only 2 sessions. I highly recommend this place for an excellent, long lasting tan and friendly service.

I have been going to the one on N. Via Paseo Del Sur (Hayden & McCormick Ranch) for nearly 2 yrs now ( formerly Energy Tanning), so that in itself - speaks for itself - as we know Scottsdale is not short of tanning salons. Tracey is my fave (now a manager), but all employees are professional, cheerful, helpful, & truly make you realize customer service is still alive in this day & age. I remember the 1st tan there... I was pale & after just 1 tan in a level 3 bed (think it was considered a level 4, but changed upon new ownership), I just kept getting darker & darker as the days went on (2 & 3 days after my tan is my darkest achievement)! I've only had to tan once/week to obtain & maintain a golden-bronze look of health that I get compliments upon. They can even report when each bed's bulbs were last changed. Rooms are always super clean, plenty of lotions to choose from, fun stickers to monitor tan strength, disposable goggles when you forget yours, almost always a pkg special running, & fingertip covers for my acrylic nails! (Tan beds turn white tips yellow.) Best of all, they're open 'til 10pm M-H. Gotta' love this place!

Best Tanning place in the valley! They have the newest and best equipment. The entire facility is clean and nice! The staff is very helpful and friendly. By far the best Tanning salon out of anywhere in Arizona!

My wife introduced me to this place because she absolutely loves it & always has a beautiful tan. My first time in the high pressure bed I was very pleased with the results. I would definetly recommend!

Best Salon by FAR. This place is amazing. I have never had a bad experience here. It is very clean and everyone there is extremely friendly. I look forward to going and seeing the smiling faces.....and not to mention my AMAZING tan thanks to this place and their great knowledge of lotions and what's going to work best for my skin. Thank you

BEST SALON AROUND! Great staff, Awesome beds!!. I just moved here from back east and desperately needed a base tan before I laid out in the scorching Arizona sun! I stopped by Tan Factory in North Scottsdale simply because it was near my new apartment and was quite impressed with the quality of service and knowledge the front desk girl provided! I learnt more about the process and how your skin tans after 15 minutes in this salon then I ever did back home!! I was instantly greeted with a smiling face and she really took the time to show me around and further explain their levels of tanning and lotions! I couldn't believe how CLEAN and upscale this place was! I would recommend Tan Factory to anyone/everyone and will DEFINATELY keep coming back! :)

BEWARE!!!. I had been a long-time customer of Tan Factory, but I recently purchased a package of tans using a bed that I have never tried before. After only two tans, my skin began peeling off at an alarming rate. I did NOT burn in the beds and I have been using tanning beds for over 10years. I had never before had this reaction to the beds. It took approx. 2-3 weeks to fully recover from the severe peeling. I decided it was not in my best interest to continuing tanning and I called the store to request a refund of my unused balance. I told the manager my situation and said that I would be happy to pay for the 2 tan sessions that I used, but that I would like the remaining balance refunded to me. I discussed the situation at length with the manager and the owner of the company (who identified himself as "Stephen"). The owner refused to refund my unused balance and only offered to apply the balance toward a different type of bed or tan. I explained to him that it was not in my best interest to continue tanning and that I simply wanted a refund. He still refused. He then began accusing me of being dishonest, stating my story had changed and that I was now using different excuses for a refund. His accusations were completely false and unprofessional. He claimed his manager had "notes" from her earlier conversations with me that significantly differed from the TRUE story. It was appalling that the owner and/or manager would blatantly LIE in order to keep my money. The owner was simply looking for a way out of refunding me money because my request was not only reasonable, but also justified. He resorted to committing fraud and refusing to repay me what was rightfully mine. If you break it down to it's core, he stole my money and then lied to excuse his actions. This company has horrible management, horrible customer service and horrible equipment. They will stop at nothing to con you out of money and deny you refunds - no matter what the price. Tan Factory is the LAST company you want to do business with!
