Nice, upscale but casual atmosphere. Great oysters!. Sit in the bar area, enjoy a delicious (I highly recommend the oysters) relax and kick back with the friendly folks in the lounge. Music is superb. You can actually have a conversation and dance if you're in the mood. It's a great place for a date, or just to go with friends.
Fantastic food and entertainment.
My husband and I went to Eddie V's Edgewater Grill for the first time few months ago. We decided to sit in the lounge since we like music and we are so glad we did. Not only was our meal absolutely delicious, but the entertainment was the best I have ever seen in the valley. It was a couple called Pam and Gary and they had complete control of the room. We danced and ate and drank and ad the time of our lives.
Last week we had friends visiting from out of town and when we made reservations we were glad to find out that Pam and Gary would be playing that night also.
I can't say enough good things about the food, the service and the entertainment. My recommedation is to make a reservaion when Pam and Gary are playing. You won't be dissappointed.
North Scottsdale seafood grill with boathouse charm has patrons singing its praises with nary a shore in sight..
In Short
The tranquil DC Ranch area harbors a treat for the landlocked Scottsdale seafarer. The path to the dining room is besieged on all sides by back-East yacht club character. Bronze sculptures depict the catch of the day and a circular glass wine room invites appraising glances from families and professionals passing to their pressed linen tables. The menu's scene-stealer is a feathery macadamia-crusted butterfish that melts in lemon coconut curry.
So So experience. The first time we went, my husband and I both got fish and the fried rice and asparagus. The rice was horrible, dry and bland. Both of our fish dishes were tasteless and the asparagus wasnt cooked. The portions were tiny as well. The second time we sat in the lounge and enjoyed the appetizers and drinks for happy hour. We had an excellent time and the live music was nice. I'd say this place is just for looks because for the amount of money you spend the food better be top notch, which it wasnt.
Great combo of environment, food, and service. Highly reccommended. I took my wife for a romantic getaway and we both enjoyed ourselfs tremendously. In top 3 dining experiences in my lifetime.
Much to love. A little pricey, but more than worth it. Have been here before and have had the chilean seabass, halibut, butterfish and filet. The seafood has always been wonderful, while the filet are a little more spotty. The filet can also be wonderful, but not as consistently as the seafood. If you are going for beef alone you're better off going to a restaurant that specializes in beef. Ambiance is great, although occasionaly too dark in the dining room. On more than one occasion have seen people using the candles on their table to read the menu. Wine service is top notch and staff knowledgeable. Bar area lively with live music.
