Oh my gosh...the food here is OUTSTANDING!! I also loved the ambiance of the restaurant itself. This little gem is worth every penny. The staff was outstanding as well. Great Job Everyone!!! You truly live up to the Scottsdale reputation....

from the moment you turn into the hallway leading to Deseo you are amazed at the ambiance with the candles and the artwork then down the stairs or take the elevator. reservations are usually needed when the resort is full.
i have eaten there about 10 times and live in the area and it is by far my favorite of all the choices we have in N Scottsdale
starting with the appetizers ( shrimp chicharone?) is my favorite and I have it every time. the sides dishes are excellent and my preference is the crab fried riced or lobster. the latin american influence on the dishes is outstanding and i usually get the beef churasco? and my wife prefers the bone in rib eye or the specials they have
i dont drink but my wife really enjoys getting something called a muddle drink and says it is the best tasting drink ever. the deserts are great with the chocolate cigar topping my list.
the rolls are like nothing you have had anywhere else and must be eaten to understand...take home a couple as they are just as delicious reheated

What to Drink:
Expand your wine horizons with Argentinean Chardonnay or Chilean Cabernet. The staff is adept at pairing with the menu, so put yourself in their hands. Cuban mojitos and Peruvian pisco sours are popular Latin libations.
Look Good:
If you're adventurous, ask for a multi-course tasting--it's not on the menu.

Rodriguez comes to town once a month for Nuevo Latino cooking classes. Space fills fast, so call well in advance.
