Great little place.
Great little place. I wouldn't call it "boutique". The rooms are clean and look to be recently updated but very small, the only place to watch TV from was sitting on the bed, the only place to put a suitcase was on the desk. The pool area is very nice.
You get the idea that they read a list of things that a 5 star hotel would have but don't quite carry it off: Concierge desk Check (but no one staffing it), Restaurant with Spa Cuisine Check ( yogurt parfait had approx 2 cups UNSWEETENED yogurt 5 blueberries and 1 tbsp granola), Front desk staff able to make tee times Check (but no one knew how to get to the golf courses they recommend).
All the rooms face out onto the parking lot rather than the pool area and you enter from the outside rather than a central hallway. The Atheltic Club next door is very nice with a large number of classes. Wouldn't recommend the restaurant "OC 7" but you are 5 minutes drive from all the restaurants in Old Town Scottsdale so why would you eat at your hotel no matter where you are staying.
We would stay there again for the price, location and overall atmosphere.
A great Scottsdale Resort.
I was visiting a friend Scottsdale last month and she had booked us a "spa day" at the Eurasia Spa at the Scottsdale Resort & Athletic Club. We had "The Essential" - 2 hours of bliss in the form of a massage and a facial. We also took advantage of her membership at the club and played some tennis the next day on their fantastic tennis courts, and ended up having a great lunch in their restaurant .
I'm planning a trip back to Scottsdale in April, and I'll surely be staying at this resort.
We had a great stay at the Scottsdale Resort Club. This place was recommended to me by a friend who knows I am a total fitness nut, especially for tennis (really any sport with a racket!) I'm so glad she sent me there when my fiance and I to go to Phoenix on business - we took an extended trip and after the conference was over moved ourselves to the Scottsdale Resort Club, spent an extra 3 days there and wish we had had more time. We loved the tennis courts, plus took a great Jeep tour in the desert. I had a massage in their lovely Eurasia spa - this was really a great vacation!
