Delicious food and superb win list. I was on lunch with a couple of friends here. The food at the Capital Grille is high quality and is very delicious. They have a good collection of wine. The service was fast and good.

Dissapointed. OK we went there this last Saturday night. The establishment itself was very nice, with decent ambiance. The wait staff were quite good, yet I was dissapointed.

My wife and I thought that for $200 the dinner was actually quite average. The side dishes were competent but really nothing special. And the steaks were decent (I had the porterhouse and she had the New York Strip) but it was pretty average fair all in all. I expected a bit more flavor and presentation for these prices.

After eating at the Metropolitan Grille in Seattle recently, I have to say that the steaks are inferior in taste at the Capital grille compared to the Metropolitan grille. I may not be back actually, I won't be back unless someone is paying for me.

Best steak in town. PERIOD. My all time favorite steakhouse in the country is Smith & Wollensky's, but this is right there, just slightly less impressive. Capital Grill is outstanding in my opinion in quality of beef, service, and ambiance. Well worth the money and you will return my friends. I would only recommend Ruth's Chris close to this here in Phoenix. Flemings is tops on service, but the steaks did not even compare. Go here and have at it--their Kona coffee rub is outrageous, as are the side dishes!

Best Steakhouse in Town. I'm confounded by the reviews I read where they claim the Capital Grille is overpriced or boring. I've dined at the CG in Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Denver, Phoenix and Scottsdale and it is by far the best corporate owned steakhouse in the country, easily out distancing the over hyped Ruths Chris and their gimmicky hot plate or the once great but outdated Mortons. I go to the CG for the over 800 bottle wine list and the dry aged steaks. The service is customiarily outstanding and the staff's wine and food knowledge is exceedingly above board. The decor is just what I expect from a old school traditional steakhouse. Dark wood, cigar humidor, oil paintings and a wine list that expands from $30 Kendall Jackson Chardonay to $3000 Screaming Eagle Cabernet. The prices are inline with the Smith and Wolenskis and Delmonico's of the world and I would highly recommend the Capital Grille to anyone wishing a special dining experience. Make sure to try the Kona Crusted sirloin and the Coconut Creme Pie.

Don't waste your money. I can't understand why this over-priced place is popular. It has a snobby feel to it (truly fine dining does not have that feel to it - all feel welcome and comfortable). I have eaten here 3x's (never my choice) and the food has always been "OK". I think I could make something tastier at home myself. The prices are totally unjustified and the atmosphere is so old and stuffy. NOT FUN, this is a place for those w/o imagination.

Awful. I expected this restaurant to match the ones I've visited in other cities. It was an awful experience and we will never return. Our waiter was rude and cocky, the male management was surly and the food was just okay. This is a poor example of a supposed upscale restaurant.

Excellent. I am a Concierge at a resort nearby the Capital Grille and we always send guests there and have yet to hear a complaint. Their service is top-notch, their food is always excellent, and their private dining is always a good idea. I was surprised to see some negative comments on this website, because we have about 100 people dine there a month that all come back with raving reviews.

Absolutely TERRIBLE in every single way!!!!. We had a group of 20 people, and not one single person was happy. Not only was the service inexcusably bad, the manager didn't even acknowledge our complaints. He promised to call us to follow up, and it has been 2 weeks and we haven't heard a thing. The appetizers were boring, the steak was mediocre at best, and the sides were no better than a microwaved Marie Callenders meal, and that was if you could even get your hands on them since the waiter was dishing them out as he saw fit. I would not recommend Capital Grille to anyone, unless of course you are breaking up with someone, and you want to take them out for a terrible evening. I have had a far better meal at Dennys. Please, please, please, avoid Capital Grille at all costs.

Award-winning steaks and first class service make for a four-star dining experience.. In Short
Richness and warmth radiate from the plush leather seating and mahogany trim. Whether patrons prefer the filet mignon or a 24-ounce porterhouse, the dry-aged beef is guaranteed to please, and is the cornerstone of a menu that also features hand-cut chops and fresh seafood. With more than 400 selections, the wine list is very impressive.
