Gyros this place is NOT!!. This is the worst Pita place I have ever been too.... if you are wanting a REAL Gyro DO NOT come to this place. I recommend Chicago Gyros on 7th St and Union Hills.

Extreme Pita claims they use lamb meat but it wasn't.

For the price this place SUCKS!

Average to fair for average fare. The shop is clean and bright, and the menu has some 'healthy' options, so it has some things going for it. However, the fare doesn't exactly scintillate. They don't give you very much of your filling choice (gyro, chicken or steak), relying on your 'fixins' to fill the sandwich. I'm sure it helps reduce fat calories for them, but it also left me wanting more taste. Not bad, but I won't go out of my way for it.

What ever. I love places like Extreme Pita, because when you go into one, and I have been to this one they talk to you like pitas are a new invention, and they talk to you like a child. And it's not really a good deal, and they really don't make a good pita. It's a franchise that is using someone elses idea and running with it. The one thing I do like about places like Extreme Pita is that it's a place for yahoo's to go to instead of the better places like Aladins on Via Linda. You want a pita that is true to it's nature go there, but not all of you!!!

This low-cost, low-fat chow will make you want to drop the burger and feast on fresh falafel.. In Short
Located a few doors from the Cine-Capri is a fast-growing find. Eclectic jazz is as inviting as the staff, and owner Joe Roth happily makes recommendations from the entirely low-fat menu (23 pitas with less than four grams of fat.) While the fare ranges from traditional grilled chicken to vegetarian falafel, a best-seller is the Chicago Gyro--a blend of lamb and beef with Greek tzatziki sauce that's popular with Midwestern transplants.
