With Italian ice and other traditional dishes, this joint serves up more than just New York-style pizza.
I like it!

Don't know what the last few people were talking about. Unless they went on an 'off' night, I found everything to be wondreful. The pizza and calzones were awesome. Even the salads, which aren't really a NY thing or a Anywhere thing were great. Okay, so it didn't taste my my local place back home, it was still great stuff. You got to try their frozen drink thingies. I got the Creamsicle, oaky 2. man was that good!
I give it a thumbs up in my opinion. I don't know what part of NY those last few people lived in or how to make the one guy happy (seems like he didn't like any place he went to), tut this was some goooooooooooood food!
- Pros: Fun, family type place. Entertaining!
- Cons: Need one closer to where I live, but will make the trip again.
Good not Great.

It was good but nothing special. I highly doubt that this is what real authentic New York style pizza taste like.
In Search of REAL Pizza... this was not it.

The search continues... I recently moved to the basin from New York and while I enjoy the Mexican fair, I miss REAL Pizza more than anything else from the North East... even the fall foliage. I looked up Pizza reviews online and saw that Nicantoni's was #2 in the valley, so I tried it last night (11/20) (at the Gilbert location). I bought 2 pies... one cheese and one meatball and olive. My wife and I decided that the pizza was about on par with the pizza that you get from Chuck E. Cheese back east.... not very good, only a small step above Pizza Hut. We decided that the problem was the crust... which is nothing at all like real pizza crust. The Pizza also was not nearly as greasy as a real New York Pizza. Overall I have to say the search for real Pizza continues. Nicantoni's might be a good alternative for Domino's but if you're from the northeast don't believe the claim that this is real New York Pizza, because it is not.
