Excellent Service and food thats out of this World!. The shrimp here is the biggest I have ever seen. My steak was done to perfection and desert was wonderful. Thanks Michael for taking us all there to celebrate. I'm sure the bill put a big dent in your wallet! View Less … View More
great food & service!. I had dinner here Thursday night. My colleague and I had the Seafood Tower with shrimp, oysters, snow crab claws & Alaskan king crab for our appetizer. It was so huge that we couldn't finish even half of it. It's a shame because it was so good. I had the Alaskan king crab and it was very good. I had a piece of my colleague's filet & it was outstanding. It was the best filet I've ever had, very tender and flavorful. The server was very attentive and the overall service was great. I highly recommend Mastro's Ocean Club for seafood and steak. View Less … View More
Like their steakhouse on Camelback, overpriced so-so food, great clientele.
I've been to this place twice, mixed results. But just this last weekend to the Mastro's Steakhouse on Camelback at Scottsdale Rd; nice
place, great bar scene, very much the hot spot and good bartenders but.. bad service from the hostess on down, really expensive food that was not any better than.. geez, buffet stuff. $14 special house salad was some shrimp in lettuce with what tasted like mayo dressing, room temperature.. ugh. 3 other appetizers the same results, we could barely eat it; passed on their $45 each steaks. They do a 3x markup on by the bottle wine, ok fine, for the visuals and the scene there I'm ok with that.
Go, see and be seen, but eat somewhere else, plenty of good choices nearby.

Amazing food and great piano bar.
I consistently enjoy the Ocean Club. In the restaurant, service is prompt and attentive. The fish is moist and the side dishes, served a
la carte are fantastic and served in gererous portions. They offer a seafood tower, which is designed to your specifications with oysters, crab, lobster, etc... Everything always tastes fresh. I would highly reccomend the crabcakes. They are flavorful and almost entirely crab.
The large bar/lounge is a great place to mingle, people watch, and listen to the live piano player. Drinks, especially the martinis, are made well. It is always a great experience.

The waiter was so rude he insulted my wine selection!.
The worst service at a fine dining establishment!
We went to the Ocean Club on Feb 10th, 2008, my birthday, and were looking forward to a great seafood and excellent service.
The waiter, Tommy, asked if we were planning on a "nice" bottle of wine. We told him we were so he handed us the wine list. When Tommy returned, my boyfriend explained we wanted a bottle of Pinot Grigio, a disgusted look came over Tommy's face, he dropped his head and after a few seconds looked up at ME and said, "Sorry, we are supposed to keep our composure," basically laughing at what he viewed as the inappropriateness of our wine selection and continued incredulously, " I thought we were going to have a 'nice' bottle of wine tonight." My boyfriend had also ordered himself a glass of scotch to enjoy before our meal so Tommy, in his rush to judgment about Pinot Grigio, assumed my boyfriend wouldn't be drinking anything so mundane and stated, "OK, a glass of wine for you and a scotch," he wasn't even going to bring us the bottle we ordered!
We couldn't believe Tommy's attitude and insulting behavior so, even though it was by birthday, I said I would rather leave than have to endure Tommy's attitude. The funny thing is that Tommy was speechless when we left and I stopped to tell him I found his comments completely insulting. What is even more amazing, for a supposedly high-end Scottsdale restaurant, is that out of three hostesses and the MANAGER at the hostess stand, only one hostess muttered "sorry" as I told them the waiter was incredibly rude. The manager didn't even respond or ask what happened! Even if he was stunned he could have followed us out the door or call to apologize, they had our telephone number on the reservation! What we did get was their standard impersonal follow-up call the next day on our voice mail saying, "thank you for dining with us recently we hope you had a pleasurable experience and hope to see you again." UNBELIEVABLE and IMPERSONAL!
