RedfishGood food, nice ambience.. This Cajun cuisine was bountiful and delicious. We enjoued the lovely dark wood-panelled interior and clever decor (looks like you're out on the streets of New Orleans). Service was curteious and, although a little slow, they gave us free dessert and a gift certificate to thank us for being patient. Although you can find more authentic Cajun cooking in major cities like Chicago and L.A., this is pretty darn good for the East Valley.
Redfish, Bluefish, one bad fish dish. I am not the most particular of restaurant patrons. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. However, the food at Redfish is best compared to a frozen dinner from your grocer's freezer. It was not very flavorful. They have no kid's menu. The 'Crocodile Cooler' drink is nothing more than a melted 'otter pop'. The service was fair. As far as seafood is concerned, McDonald's fillet o'fish would be a better choice. McDonald's, by the way is right next door.
Bad fish, poor service.
I should have read the reviews before going there. Service is poor, food is even worse.
Although they were pretty fast with seating and ordering, staff wouldn't care of people?s opinions and requests. I wanted a soup and because I had no idea what a Louisiana Gumbo is (sorry, I?m European), I asked the dude that was serving us and I stressed out that I want something very liquid, not cream, not filled up with God knows what. He assured me it?s so. Instead, I receive a all full of rice and some liquid between it. Then I asked for a baked fish, but hey have no idea how to prepare fish (restaurant?s name is a pure coincidence). It was slightly over burned, and that made it bitter and had to search the fish under the thick layer of burned flour. Veggies were made at microwaves, when they should have been steam baked. The Pina Colada was basically ice and some white tasteless stuff. Bad choice for dinner (well, for any lunch actually). Beer was good though!
Bad Restaurant, Good Bar. We had some out of town guest and since we had never been to Redfish we decided to take them there. When we arrived the restaurant was about 25% full (Sunday night) but we still waited 10 minutes at the hostess station and finally went back and found the hostess talking to the cooks. So after 15 minutes we were finally seated and waited another 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order who then went MIA. After being there for 30 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant with no sign of getting our drinks anytime soon we walked out. The next day I sent an email to the Manager and never received a response. We decided to give Redfish another chance and again received poor service. As for the food, its was just adequate although our wait at the bar was a much better experience.
Really Bad!.
This place was the worst cajun food I ever had!
They have no idea about flavoring!
The drinks were so weak, and the hurricanes were pure sugar!
Never again!
