Do not take a chance with this mechanic

I took my car to this mechanic after a recommendation from an acquaintance. I never talked to them again afterwards. Let me tell you why:

I took in my car after hitting a piece of wood on the highway that damaged the air condition compressor. I told the mechanic what had happened and they verified it by showing me the damage. I was told this would be an expensive repair. I understood all of this.

But two days later when I drove the car home, after shelling out nearly $2,000 in costs, the air condition still did not work.

When I brought it back, they said the mechanic who worked on it didn't add the coolant back to the air condition. No problem, I told them, mistakes happen.

But on the way home, it still did not work.

I wasn't too happy bringing it in a third time, especially when they said they would need to put in an extra part that cost $30 or so. Eventually, after I protested, they did the work for free and sent me on my way.

(I think you know where this is going).

I had to go back a FOURTH time because the air condition stopped working after a few days. This time, a different mechanic told me another mechanic forgot to re-fill the coolant (the original excuse if you remember).

To make a long story short, I had to return two more times because the air condition stopped working after a week or so.

In total, counting gas and missed work, I lost nearly $4,000 on this repair.

I sincerely urge everyone to avoid this mechanic.

Friendly, Honest, Helpful and Do Quality Work

I have a 1968 Mustang that needs work occassionally and I don't have the money to do a full restoration on the car. A lot of shops won't even look at it unless I am going to drop thousands of dollars into it. The guys at Muscle Car have been awesome to me. They will help me with basic needs on the car, answer my questions with no attitiude and help me make the right decision at the right time. Its a big difference from walking into a shop that treats you like your stupid and then recommends stuff you don't need. Shawn is the guy that helps me out and I couldn't ask for better communication and advice from him. Plus they always let me talk to the mechanic working on my car to answer any other questions I might have. If you have a classic that needs some repairs I would call these guys up for friendly service, at a fair price with no attitude. I won't be going anywhere else!

Best Automotive Repair Shop!

I can't believe what great service I received when I brought my car into MCG. These guys are extremely friendly and I could not believe how much they new about cars in general. My 1967 Ford Fairlane was running a little rough and these guys came to the rescue. They diagnosed the problem and gave me a fair and honest up front estimate. They also called me throughout the repair process to let me know what the status was. I highly recommend MCG for any car, old or new. I am also working with them to make the car faster and more responsive to my needs. Great service and what a great shop. Give Clay a call, he will get the job done!!!!!!!!
