Great Haircut & Color

I have been going to Zolton's for my past three haircuts and I have been extremely happy with the haircut, color and service. I am not quite sure about the previous reviews about rude front desk staff, they have be polite and nice the past three times I have been there. I have always been greeted quickly and my appointments are always on time which I appreciate as I had a problem with my last stylist always running late (45 minutes on my last visit). Robert is my stylist and he listens to me and what I want, makes suggestion and delivers me a great cut and color.

NOT A SPA

I can't believe that this place thinks that it is a high class spa! Where is the spa? It just seems like a very loud, very dated hair salon, with a very dirty floor!

I walked in and up to the reception area, the girl seemed more interested in talking to her friend to even look up at me--did I mention I was the only customer standing there-I wasn't hard to miss! I told her my name and who I was there to see and she just said "yup". What is that supposed to mean?? I then asked her if I was supposed to wait, or was she going to let me know where I could find my stylist. She just pointed behind me to a bunch of chairs that had other workers just hanging out in. She didn't offer any water or magazines...again I say..this is a spa?

I noticed while I was sitting there that they had a few places to do nails in the front of the salon, but I only saw one person working. And only 2 pedicure chairs. I guess they are not expecting much business.

My -I guess I will call her a stylist- came out, wearing what I can only describe as a strip club nightmare, there was nothing to the imagination, she must have just gotten off her other job. Highly unprofessional and NOT high class.My service was sub-par to say the least, and entirely too expensive. I do not mind in the least paying for a service and a great experience. But the rude and unhelpful front desk, partnered with the trashy hairdresser left much to be desired!

I will not recommend this place to anyone! In fact I will tell as many people as will listen to how awful it was!

Really bad hair cut

I've gotten my hair cut at Zolton's in Scottsdale two or three times in the past with two different stylists but both were pretty bad, so I went elsewhere for a while. Yesterday, I decided to give them a try again so I made an appointment with Jimmy who was available when I got there. I clearly told him that I wanted a good cut, one that was easy to maintain, nice-looking and modern. Well, I have to say that this is the worst hair cut I've had in years. Mindlessly cut, no style, no structure, no proportion, nothing, simply horrible! and I don't think that there is anything that can be done to fix it because he cut it so short and unevenly that my only viable option is to wait for my hair to grow back. For something like this I could have cut it myself and had a good dinner with the money I saved. I wonder how he got hired there. Doesn't the management test its people before they can be part of the team?

When I made the appointment, I trusted the girl who suggested his name because I didn't know anybody in particular. My mistake was not to read the reviews and recommendations on the web site before going to Zolton's. It would have saved me this terrible experience.
