Where is Sothy????. Please tell me where my stylist Sothy is. The staff at Rolf's were absolutely rude when I asked. I dont plan to go back to Rolfs so they arent losing a customer. They could create good will by letting me know where he is at instead of coming across as rude and desperate for business.

Rolf's Scottsdale Salon. I recently went to Rolf's in Scottsdale. I ended up going there because another salon messed up my color. I ended up seeing Tod Lavery. I was amazed by his professional attitude and calm demeanor. He assured me my hair would be fixed by the time I walked out of the salon. He stayed several hours past his work day to ensure that would happen. Not only was I pleased, but I was amazed. Tod gave me the best color and cut of my entire life. I read an earlier review and cannot believe a word this other person said. In fact, the earlier review mentioned Tod making a prejudiced remark, but I learned during our visit that he is in a bi-racial relationship. Anyways, I think he is an amazing hairdresser. I know one thing, as long as he is working in the valley--HE HAS A NEW CLIENT FOR LIFE.

The real scoop. Ok if you are looking for a great place to get your hair done this could be the place for you. It is very nice and you have a huge chance of getting someone good but here are the pros and cons

1. You will have to wait for your hairdresser up to 30 minutes and no one will say a word to you. Like she is running a little behind if you want to go look at the stores next door it could be 30 minutes. That would be a nice courtesy. The Pro to that is the hairdresser doesn't just stop when your time is up they finish what they started and don't rush you out of there. I love that but the receptionist could be a little warmer.

2. My hair was orange not blonde. Clearly she could see that it was horrible and suggested that I come back to get more done to it because it didn't look like it should. It happens when you go from dark brown to blonde. I loved the fact that she owned up to it and didnt send me on my way telling me it looked good. If she would have done that I would have been furious.

3. The salon is nice but could use a few updates. I mean if im paying 260 for a full highlight it better have a nice atmosphere.

Overall it was a good experience but not the nicest salon i have been to. The stylist was unbelieveable and I would recommend her to anyone. I won't give her name due to the orange I am sure there was nothing she could do.

Never got a chance to see a stylist. My 12:00 appt was cancelled at 6:00 p.m. the night before. No offer for an alternate stylist, no apology. Went to Boxer's on Monroe and got a great cut.

Rolfs does great cuts. I have always had excellent cuts at Rolfs. I have had my hair done there many times and it turned out FANTASTIC.

BEWARE!!! Very rude. Unprofessional. UNSKILLED.Poor customer service from managment.. DO NOT SEE TODD IF YOU PLACE ANY VALUE ON YOUR HAIR OR YOUR DIGNITY AND SELF RESPECT. NOT ONLY IS HE RUDE AND EXTREMELY PRETENTIOUS TOT HE 10TH DEGREE BUT HE MADE INAPPPROPRIATE RACIAL REMARKS AND ALSO TRASHED SCOTTDALE WOMEN SAYING THEYRE SO FAKE AND OVERDONE. HE RUINED MY HAIR, MADE IT COMPLETELY LOPSIDED AND RAZORED IT ALLTHE WAY TO THE TOP OF MY HEAD BUT ONLY RAZORED ONE SIDE AND I WANTED A SHOULDER LENGTH BOB. IT WAS FRIZZY AND BADLY FRAYED. IM STILL GROWING IT OUT, ITS A DISATER. I HAVE A HUGE HOLE ON ONE SIDE WHERE ALL THE HAIR IS MISSING. WHEN I TOLD HIM IT WAS MESSED UP HE TOLD ME IT WAS MY PROBLEM NOT HIS. REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE AND WHEN I WENT TO MANGEMENT (LEIA) AND COMPLAINED AND REQUESTED A REFUND FOR THE DISASTEROUS LOOK AND HUMILITAION I HAD TO ENDURE, THE REFUNDED MY MONEY AND TOLD ME NOT TO COME BACK. ID LOVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TELL ROLF HOW THEY RUN HIS BUSINESS. IVE CONSIDERED GOING TO THE EXPO THIS YEAR JUST FOR THE OPPORTUNITY OF SHOWING HIM WHAT HS STAFF HAS MADE ME LOOK LIKE AND TO MENTION THE POOR SERVICE AFTERWARDS. THEY DO NOT VALUE THEIR CLIENTS, ONLY THE ONES WHO HAVE NEVER COMPLAINED DUE TO A BAD EXPERIENCE. I GUESS IF YOUR DIS-SATISFIED THEY THINK YOU SHOULD KEEP IT TO YOURSELF BUT KEEP GOING BACK AS WELL. IN ALL FAIRNESS IVE SEEN KENZIE PRIOR TO TODD AND SHES MAGNIFICENT BUT SINCE IVE BEEN ASKED NOT TO COME BACK I CANNOT GO TO HER ANYLONGER. JUST REMEMEBR IF YOU GO, YOURE TAKING A GAMBLE ON YOUR HAIR AND LOOKS AND WILL NOT BE COMPENSATED IF DISASTER STRIKES. .

Awesome Salon!. My first experience with Rolf's was at the Annual Women's Expo. Rolf's is there every year and one year I got chosen by Rolf. Very nice man. He couldn't believe my hair. I have very thick kind of wavy hair and it was really long! I never have a clue what I want to do with my hair so I let it grow long, well he sent me to one of the stylists and she did an awsome job! Everyone loved it. Of course, the price of a cut at their salon made me wary of actually going on a regular basis, but I finally did last weekend and again with my long hair. Kenzie the stylist did an awesome job. I, again, had no clue what I wanted and I just told her what I thought would be nice (from pictures I've seen) and with her help she did it way better than I could've imagined and without cutting my hair too short! Well worth the money and when you think about it $45 is not that much for a GREAT hairdo. Now I'm going to try out their manicures and pedicures. Expensive, but hopefully you'll proof the term "You get what you pay for" correct in a good way! lol

Great salon!. Just wanted to say...don't listen to that Samantha chick...she said the same bad things about Dolce on the same day! These two salons are the best in AZ...can't go wrong with them.

Stunning Nails. I was given a gift certificate to Rolfs for my birthday. Upon arriving at the salon I was greeted warmly by the receptionists, offered coffee and given a quick tour. The entire salon is lovely!

I had a Style with Lacy and my nails with Cindy the "head" manicurist. The girls on the phone gave glowing praise to each of these woman... They were right! My hair cut and style was perfect and my acrylic nails and pedicure were divine! When I told my manicurist I would only be wearing the nails for a short time, she was quick to point out the other three girls who specialized in "natural" nails to help me after I took them off. I have read the other ratings on this site and cannot understand the negitive comments. The salon is beautiful, the hairdressers and manicurists well trained and behaved. I give this salon an A+

Curtis Blue at Rolf's is AMAZING!!!. I have to say that in the year and a half that I have been a client of Curtis Blue's it has never been a disappointment. Not only does he color, highlight, cut and style with expertise he is always professional and always on time. I have recommended him to several of my friends who have all been very satisfied with him. Thanks from a loyal client!
