Avoid This Place. My husband and I used to go to the Good Egg on Val Vista and Baseline in Mesa.

Not anymore. Last Saturday (March 29,2008) we went for an early breakfast.

About an hour after we got home, my husband started feeling ill.

For the next 48 hours he was throwing up and had it going the other way too.

It was definitely the Steak and Egg breakfast.

He became violently ill and dehydrated.

He is a VERY healthy man and as a result of this, he lost 10 lbs and had to take off work.

We will never step foot in that place again.

Besides, the eggs are ALWAYS greasy even before this episode.

Best Breakfast. Having eaten here several times as well as other locations in Phoenix i am impressed by their attention to ambience, value, flavor and presentation - the servers on Val Vista (mainly women) are all attentive, friendly, and competent - food comes quickly and offerings are tasty - the coupon they stamp makes for a great value as well and even on busy weekend mornings, the wait is easy to bear and well worth the wait once seated - can't say enough about this establishment but would add the consistency is evident at all locations they have around town (Eggery/Good Egg)

Good breakfast. Efficient service, great portions, tasty food. Hog skillet particularly good, great corned beef hash. Small pancakes are huge. Friendly staff.

Expect to wait in a queue on Sunday mornings.
