Lux Coffeebar

Crowds, AWFUL Seating and Splinters Galore. I have been here 3 times and each experience has been the same. It is too crowded, seating and furniture is awful and I really don't care for the ambiance. The worst is the picnic benches outside... I actually got multiple splinters in my legs! The coffee and food is good but I would much rather go to Hobnobs which I find more welcoming and accomodating. I can't understand why it is so crowded because it really isn't that great.…

LOAD MUSIC, STINKS, CRAPPY SEATING. -LOUD MUSIC, impossible talk, or read, or do anythiing. -STINKS, my girlfreind complains of the stench on my clothes, fumes from roasting room send out burnt coffees fumes. -SEATING is HORRIBLE. Couches and lounge chairs are filthy, have springs or framing poking thru. Impossible to get to/from these seats, probably a fire hazard.

-Finally, the coffees brewed a bit to strong, the main reason I dont go to Starbucks, But given all the above, Starbucks seams like a gem.

Try Clarindon hotel, they have Lux coffee at same price and much better place. Or Lola's.…

This is how you imagine the Original Seattle Starbucks WAS.... Art gallery setting. Low key clipboard art. Good service. Comfortable couches. Architect's tables for lighting. Free wireless. Great coffee and tea. Crowded, lively downtown crowd. Nice vibes, everything.…

Pleasantly surprised. After hearing great things about the atmosphere, staff and of course the coffee - I had to check it out for myself. This reminds me of what a real coffeehouse should be like. I went on the weekend and it was busy, but it's great to see people making it through the construction. I'm hooked.…
