Only if you've got time. Pretty good food, but it will always take you longer than you think.
Best pizza, avoid dinner rush. Great pizza, great salads, great sevice. First time we went there they gave us a free desert. One of the best pizza in town, only problem is everyone knows it and somethimes has long lines. You have to go at an off peak hour.
Like Being In Chi-Town....
We frequent Oregano's On Camelback quite often and I have to say I have yet to find a pizza place in Phoenix that will beat it. Being from Chicago I am VERY picky about my pizza. Oregano's sauce and crust(s) are what make it. They also give you many options for your pizza toppings (Try Meatballs, Sun Dried Tomatos & Banana Peppers).
If you aren't looking for Pizza but want a good Italian dinner this is your place too. Pastas are great and they have some of the best salads.
Great Pizza. We loved it!, our first time trying oregano's we fell in love, especially the desert (choc cookie with ice cream). The pizza is by far the best we have had in Arizona, would definately recommend this to all my family and friends. The staff is very friendly, as a minority I can tell you that we did not feel we were left out because of minority issue (Asian Indian) we were treated with same respect and great customer service as rest of the customers. Will go there many many many more times.
Best Pizza in Phoenix.
Having been doing the pie circuit of late and coming up empty handed, we decided to try Oregno's Saturday afternoon, after the Fiesta Bowl Parade (12/30).
It was a good ike from Central Ave but WAS IT WORTH IT!!!!
The place would remind you of a pizza place in New York or in Little Italy in a major city.
Service....outstanding! Despite the place being busy were tended to right away.
Carmen was our bar server and what a personality! The other service staff was equally friendly.
We had a thin, medium size pie with roasted garlic, carmalized onions and sausage, extra crispy.
We got just what we asked for...cracker thin crust, great sauce and toppings to die for! We ate the whole thing, including the outer crusts whcih is generally a no no with us.
The menu is extensive and what we saw coming out of the kitchen was mountains of food! No pretentious presentation here....here's your large plate of food....eat it!!!!
January 1st we agreed to try it again to see if it was consistent. Right On!!!
The basic pepperoni & pepper was a masterpiece, and even though we couldn't finish this one, the cold pizza was as good as the hot one later on!
This place is really huge so if you see a lot of cars in the lot, don't be discouraged. Inside there's an eat at bar, inside table seating, an outside bar and outside seating!
Too bad we won't be in Phoenix after January 31st......but if the one is Tucson is as good, that'll be our new haunt, even IF it's 75 miles away!!!!
Customers come first!!! Great Staff. Tables for 30 on a Friday night???? Impossiable right!!....I wouldn't have dreamed it would come together so well!!! Besides Great pizza......this restaurant goes beyond your normal customer service!!! It's busy, but well worth it compared to other places!
Tops My List!. Oregano's is one of those places you bring your out of town guests. I have yet to be disappointed by any Oregano's in the valley. The Big Rig Pasta wakes me at night with cravings. And it's difficult for me to dine here without experiencing the Pizookie...even at lunch. It can be tough to find a great restaurant that is affordable, but Oregano's has done it. Yum Yum YUM!
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Pizza parlor serves thin-crust pies, ravioli, lasagna, baked sandwiches, soups, salads, wings and ice cream-topped half-pound cookies.
Poor Service Makes for Bad Dining Experience. A group of co workers and myself work interested in trying out this eatery, based on listed reviews. However, we could not get past the poor srvice (attitude, unfriendly, poor customer service) to even experience the meal. When we called to inquire on specials and seating, the person over the phone guided our decisions to eat elesewhere. He basically suggested, "we were not wanted" there. Try at your own risk.
Best Pizza in the Valley. I have been in Phoenix for 11 years, and have been searching for a pizza that could rival my all time favorite Paglia's (prounounced Polly-eyes) in Grinnell, Iowa. Yes, hard to believe, but there's just no pizza like the ones made in good old Iowa, until.............Oregano's. Thank you Oregano's is all I have to say. It tastes just like Paglia's!!!! It's almost enough to bring a tear to my eye! Wow, it's so wonderful, and I highly recommend it. The music and atmosphere are great too! If you check out Oregano's you will not want to eat pizza anywhere else after that!
